  • Step 1: Search for areas that indicate the most mice activity. It is recommended to look for droppings, chew marks on walls and any food sources that make be attracting them.
  • Step 2: Place non-baited stations along walls or fences in areas where mice activity is seen for a few days to gain their trust. This prevents mice from becoming shy causing them to avoid the bait station.
  • Step 3: Take the bait securing rods and insert them in the bait station and place the bait blocks on the rods. Lock the bait station with the provided key. Depending on how severe the infestation is will depend on how many bait stations and bait blocks per station are needed.

Questions and Answers
  1. Q:If a cat eats a mouse that has eaten the poison bait, will it kill a cat?
    10/2/22
A:Without knowing the bait used its hard to say what the effects may, but most baits will recommend using it within a tamper-proof bait station to avoid exposure to scavenging wildlife. It would be best to refer to the effects and pre-cautions on the product label of the bait used. Typically, Second Generation Anticoagulant Rodenticides (SGAR) baits have a stronger concentration of product meaning the poison is more likely to stay active in a dead rodent, risking exposure to scavenging wildlife or pets.

  3. Q:We have a large chipmunk population, but it is only the mice that find a way in the house. Would rather not hurt the chipmunks, can they get inside & eat the bait? Which station will only allow small mice to enter? Thank you.
    5/20/19
A:I work in pest control, and find that squirrels and chipmunk will chew right through the plastic to get to the bait.
