Tools Needed
To apply Prodoxaben 3.7 SC, you will need to mix the product in a backpack or handheld pump sprayer for smaller applications. For larger applications, a professional skid sprayer with a broadcast boom or handheld wand is needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: For smaller applications, determine how much Prodoxaben 3.7 SC you will need by first measuring the square footage (length x width) of your lawn. Depending on the weed you are trying to control and the turf type, use a recommended application rate of 0.5 fl. Oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. For large applications with a professional spray rig, use an application rate of 21.0 fl. Oz. per acre. Prodoxaben 3.7 SC may be mixed with both dry and liquid mix-partners at a rate of 0.4 ounces per 1,000 sq ft.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank 1/4 of the way with water and add any mixing partners and then agitate the mixture. Add 0.5 fl. Oz. of Prodoxaben 3.7 SC per gallon of water used to the spray tank and top off the sprayer with water and agitate until thoroughly mixed. To ensure you prevent wasteful overlap, we recommend also mixing in a marking dye.
- Step 3: Apply Prodoxaben 3.7 SC uniformly using your sprayer, making sure to not miss any target areas. Prodoxaben 3.7 SC works best when applied to soil that is free of clods, weeds and debris and is activated by at least 0.5 inches of irrigation or rainfall or shallow incorporation to a depth of 1 to 2 inches.
Where to Use
Prodoxaben 3.7 SC can be applied to established turfgrasses (excluding golf course putting greens), lawns and ornamentals, conifer and hardwood seedling nurseries, non-crop areas, non-grazed fence rows, and Christmas tree farms.
When to Use
For maximum results, apply Prodoxaben 3.7 SC before weeds emerge during spring and fall seasons. Prodoxaben 3.7 SC is primarily a preemergence herbicide and is not intended to control most grass or broadleaf weeds post-germination. For most broadleaf weeds, the best time to apply the product is in early spring, before the weeds grow. For grassy weeds, the best time to apply pre-emergent herbicide is in late spring or early summer.
