ProClipse 65 WDG Herbicide
ProClipse 65 WDG Herbicide is an effective prodiamine-based pre-emergent that stops weeds before they sprout, valued for its long-lasting, low-rate, turf and ornamental-safe control.
12/31/25
ProClipse 65 WDG Herbicide, manufactured by Nufarm, is a superb pre-emergent water-dispersable granule herbicide that prevents the germination and early growth of many broadleaf and grassy weeds in turf, ornamentals, Christmas tree farms, nurseries, and more.
At 65% prodiamine, it’s a concentrated formulation that generally requires lower application rates for season-long control, which many turf pros prefer. ProClipse 65 WDG Herbicide provides long-lasting control of target weeds so one properly timed application can protect you for months. That’s gold if plant owners rather not chase weeds mid-season.
ProClipse 65 WDG Herbicide is a solid, professional-grade preemergent that does one job extremely well: preventing the germination of 30 types of grassy and broadleaf weeds so turf and landscapes can grow without constant weed pressure. Its high active concentration, long residual control, non-staining profile, and flexible use make it an excellent choice for homeowners, turf managers, and landscape pros who want an efficient, season-long solution.
Tools Needed
A handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig will be needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much ProClipse 65 WDG Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the turf, apply 0.185 to 0.83 oz. of ProClipse 65 WDG Herbicide per 0.5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For ornamentals, mix 0.37 to 0.83 oz. of product per 0.5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Apply to soil that is relatively free of clods, leaves, and heavy debris. If you have a lot of mulch or leaf litter, rake lightly so the granules can contact the soil where seeds germinate. Spray evenly over the treatment area, but not to the point of runoff. After application, immediately irrigate the treated area with 0.5 inch of irrigation or rainfall.
Where to Use
ProClipse 65 WDG Herbicide is for use in established turfgrasses (excluding golf course putting greens), lawns, and sod nurseries; container, field-grown, and landscape ornamentals; conifer, hardwood seedling nurseries; established perennial and wildflower plantings; Christmas tree farms; plants grown for cut foliage production (Florida only); and vegetation management situations including: non-crop areas on or surrounding municipal grounds and governmental installations, managed rights-of-way for transportation systems and utilities (including roadways, roadsides, railways and equipment yards), facilities including substations, tank farms, pumping stations, parking and storage areas, and ungrazed fence rows.
When to Use
Apply before weeds appear. In those areas where the ground freezes in the winter, this product can be applied in the fall after soil temperatures fall below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, but before the ground freezes.
