Pendant SC Fungicide

Pendant SC Fungicide, manufactured by CSI, is a liquid formulated product providing complete protection against various foliar, stem, and root diseases such as snow mold or anthracnose for up to 2 weeks in multiple turf sites.

This powerful fungicide contains the active ingredient, fludioxonil 11.8%, derived from a natural occurring anti-fungal compound of soil bacteria. Fludioxonil prevents the transport of any glucose material, which ceases fungal growth, its ability to absorb nutrients, and causes fungal spores to quickly absorb moisture until it explodes.

Pendant SC Fungicide is a highly effective fungicide that controls a broad-spectrum of diseases from the leaf to the soil surface of turfgrasses.

Tools Needed

To apply Pendant SC Fungicide, you will need to use a handheld pump sprayer, shielded sprayers, or boom-less ground application equipment.

How to Use

• Step 1: Mow your treatment area before applying this product. Determine how much Pendant SC Fungicide to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment site and examining the type of disease. To learn which disease is infesting your treatment site then take a look at our disease and fungi control guides. To find the square footage, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and multiply (length X width = square footage). Depending on the disease, apply between 0.75 to 2 oz. of Pendant SC Fungicide per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific application rates. Do not apply more than 6 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per year on turfgrasses.
• Step 2:  Pour half the amount of water into the sprayer tank, add measured amount Pendant SC Fungicide, then fill the rest of way with remaining half of water. Agitate until solution is evenly-mixed and throughout your spray application.
• Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of leaves until wet, but not to the point of run-off. Wait until treated area has completely dried before irrigation. Retreat areas by following the interval rate as listed on product label.

Where to Use

Pendant SC Fungicide can be applied to turfgrass within golf courses, institutional lawns, commercial lawns, residential lawns, sod farms, sports field, parks, municipal grounds, and cemeteries.

When to Use

Use Pendant SC Fungicide before fungi and diseases begin to occur on turf or when they are beginning to form. Apply this product during the spring or late fall before snow cover and on cool days where there is little wind and absence of rain for at least 48 hours.

Safety Information

Pendant SC Fungicide is safe to use around children or pets when used according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying this product.

Animals such as livestock and poultry should not be allowed to graze from treated area nor be fed clippings from treated areas.

Do not allow workers, children, pets, and other individuals to enter treated areas until 12 hours have passed from first application.

Do not enter treated areas without protective clothing until sprays have dried.

Special Considerations

Any fungal populations may contain individual diseases resistant to Pendant SC Fungicide or other group 12 fungicides. A gradual or total loss of pest control may occur over time if these fungicides are used repeatedly in the same fields. To avoid this, rotate the use of other fungicides with other groups other than group 12 and monitor the treated area.
