Pedigree Fungicide SC
Pedigree Fungicide SC is a premium systemic fungicide that prevents and manages common turf diseases, helping maintain a healthy, uniform grass in sod farms, golf courses, and commercial and residential lawns.
04/25/26
Pedigree Fungicide SC, manufactured by PBI Gordon, is a dependable, systemic fungicide that easily solves high-pressure disease outbreaks and provides a strong foundation for season-long protection against key Basidiomycete turf diseases.
It contains fluoxastrobin, which provides broad-spectrum, preventative, and curative action against numerous turf diseases such as fairy ring, brown patch, red thread, and more. The active ingredient moves translaminar and systemically through the leaf tissue, offering protection that’s locked in not just sitting on the surface waiting to wash off.
Pedigree Fungicide SC is an excellent turf-safe fungicide that maintains its curative and preventative activity during various weather conditions, including summer when certain diseases like brown patch dollar spot thrive. A direct descendant of ProStar (a granular flutolanil), it delivers the same broad-spectrum disease control in a liquid that's easier to handle.
Tools Needed
A handheld sprayer or backpack sprayer will be needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Pedigree Fungicide SC to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Depending on the disease use one of the following rates for curative control, 4.4 to 6.6 per 2 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For preventative treatments, apply 2.2 to 4.4 fl. oz. of product per 2 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Do not apply more than 13.25 fl. oz. per 1,000 square feet per calendar year as a broadcast application. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure even coverage over the treatment area including the top and bottom of leaves. Do not spray to the point of runoff. Do not irrigate until the sprays have dried. A second application may be made if needed at a 21 to 28-day interval.
