Bareground weed management with Promenade

Tools Needed

To use Promenade WDG Herbicide, you will need a spraying tank. The product can be applied in either a backpack sprayer, hand-pump sprayer, power sprayer or spraying rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Promenade WDG you need by first calculating the acreage of the area you wish to treat. To do this, first get the square footage by measuring (in feet) the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). Once you have the square footage, divide the value by 43,560 to get the acreage (square footage /43,560 = acres). The typical amount to apply Promenade WDG is to use 8 to 12 ounces per acre along with an adjuvant and not to exceed the maximum amount of 24 ounces per acre per year.
  • Step 2: Fill tank halfway full with water. Add Promenade at the rate recommended on the label for your sprayer tank and then add any additional component and fill with water the rest of the way, agitating throughout.
  • Step 3: Once mixed, apply Promenade as a band or broadcast treatment around areas you wish for there to be no plant life growing.
  • Step 4: Reapply as needed prior to growing seasons for continued bare ground management.

Where to Use

Promenade WDG is labeled to be used non-selective vegetation control to maintain bareground non-crop areas weed-free, areas which can include, in bareground under rails, above-ground pipelines, railroad beds, railroad yards and surrounding areas, in bare ground in parking and storage areas, plant sites, substations, pumping stations, and tank farms, airports, brickyards, industrial plant sites, lumber yards, military installations, farm buildings, along fence rows, road surfaces, improved roadside areas, and gravel shoulders.

When to Use

Use Promenade WDG during the times of the year right before plant life is supposed to grow to keep the seeds from growing and maintain a bare ground. Post-emergent applications are most effective when applied under sunny conditions at a temperature above 65˚F. Promenade WDG becomes rainfast within an hour of application.

Safety Information

Promenade WDG is safe to use when applied according to the instructions on the label. Have on the proper PPE (gloves, mask, goggles) when applying. Keep the product out of reach from children and do not apply to sensitive areas.

Special Considerations

Prior to and during application, continuous agitation is necessary to keep the product in suspension. Agitate spray tank contents by mechanical or hydraulic means; do not use air agitation.
