Palladium Fungicide
Palladium Fungicide
Palladium Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a professional water dispersible granule fungicide that provides a new systemic mode of action in controlling and curing ornamental diseases within 7-14 days.
Each active ingredient used in this product offers great results against a wide variety of foliar and stem diseases caused by botrytis, rhizoctonia, alternaria, and more. With two complementary modes of action from the active ingredients cyprodinil 37.5% and fludioxonil 25.0%, which works within the plant tissues by restraining disease development and long-lasting disease protection on the surface of foliage.
Palladium Fungicide offers both systemic and contact activity against a broad-spectrum of diseases, providing protection from the inside and out for commercial ornamentals.
Tools Needed
To apply Palladium Fungicide, you will need to use a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or through an irrigation system (Chemigation).
This product is to be applied as a foliar and stem treatment unless otherwise specified. Do not apply aerially.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Palladium Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the disease, apply 2 to 6 oz. of Palladium Fungicide per 100 gallons of water for ornamentals. Do not apply more than 6 oz. of product per 100 gallons of water with a maximum of spray volume of 200 gallons per acre (4.6 gallons spray volume per 1,000 square feet). Do not apply more than 56 oz. of product per acre per year for outdoor sites.
- Step 2: In a separate tank mix container, add half the amount of water then pour in the measured amount of Palladium Fungicide. Continue agitating while adding the remaining half of water. Begin application of the solution after the product has completely dispersed into the water. Maintain agitation until all of the mixture has been applied.
- Step 3: Spray the Palladium Fungicide mixture until the entire plant surface and surrounding soil is wet, but not to the point of runoff. For stem diseases, ensure full spray coverage of all stems and inner areas of plants to the soil/media level.
Where to Use
Palladium Fungicide can be used in ornamental flowers and plants; ornamental bulb, corm and tuber crops; conifers; and Christmas trees grown in greenhouses and nurseries (including field- and container-grown plants grown outdoors and in shade houses, lath houses and other ornamental production structures), conifer and forest nurseries, forestry production and plantations, retail nurseries, interiorscapes and commercial landscapes; and ornamentals on golf courses and landscaped areas around institutional, public, commercial and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, and athletic fields.
Do not use this product on residential ornamental flowers and plants.
When to Use
Apply Palladium Fungicide prior to or at the onset of disease once the plant canopy has grown to the edge of the growing container. For outdoor applications, apply this product when rainfall is not expected to occur in the next 48 hours after treatment.
Safety Information
Palladium Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not enter or allow others to enter the treated area until sprays have dried
Special Considerations
Palladium Fungicide may result in visible residue at high use rates and short spray intervals once Poinsettia bracts are in full color. Use of spray adjuvants may help reduce spray residue and spotting but should first be tested on a small number of plants for safety before making large-scale applications.
