Tools Needed

Tools are not needed for setting up or operating the Packtite 2 System.

How to Use

• Step 1: Remove the unit from its packaging bag and unfold the internal supports
• Step 2: Inspect the unit for all the contents which includes the thermometer, instruction manual and power cord then cut the cable ties supports the heater and heater housing.
• Step 3: Remove the heater and housing from the unit and put the unit together according to instructions.
• Step 4: Place a luggage item or any other item you suspect has bed bugs on the metal rack inside and place the thermometer in the center of the treatment load. Then close the PackTite 2 by the zipper and plug in the heater unit.
• Step 5: Set the timer for the chosen time (varies by the number and type of items treated). Observe the temperature to insure that the item reaches 120 degrees F and holds that temperature for 1 hour. After the treatment all of the bed bugs and the eggs inside the unit are dead.

Where to Use

Packtite 2 is designed to be used anywhere you suspect bed bug infestations may be in your personal item. It is portable so you can take it with you when traveling and when you're in a hotel you can use the system on your luggage before checking out to make sure bed bugs don't hitchhike onto your things. You could also use it at home or any other place where you suspect bed bugs to be around.

When to Use

Use Packtite 2 when you are traveling or when you have returned home from traveling. Immediately put your luggage into the Packtite 2 system so it can heat treat and kill any bed bugs lingering on your personal items.

Special Considerations

Place items so they do not touch the outer sides, power cord, top flap or zipper. Take care not to overfill the system when using it.
