ClimbUp Original Insect Interceptor

ClimbUp Original Insect Interceptor, manufactured by Susan Mcknight, is a pitfall trap no larger than 3 3/4" that can easily be placed under the legs of furniture like couches or mattresses to block travel pathways for bed bugs or trap them leading to death from dehydration.

This specially designed product allows bed bugs to crawl up only from the outside as they try to reach the furniture and then become trapped as the inside of the ClimbUp Original Inspector Interceptor is too slick for pests to climb. This not only allows the user to eliminate bed bugs without pesticides but also allows for easy treatment of trapped bed bugs.

ClimbUp Original Insect Interceptor is a non-toxic and easy-to-clean trap for various stages of bed bug activities.

Tools Needed

No additional application tools are required as this product comes ready to use. However, you must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves.

When discarding devices, you will need to use disposable plastic bags without tears, rips, or holes.

How to Use

• Step 1: Remove any bedding, sheets, comforters, or clothing touching the ground and wall. You will also need to remove any items on furniture touching the floor or wall. All electric cords should be disconnected between the bed and the wall. By eliminating these, you help to ensure that bed bugs cannot avoid the traps by climbing these other "bridges."
• Step 2: Lift the furniture and place each leg in the center of a ClimbUp Original Insect Interceptor.
• Step 3: Monitor the product daily for bed bug activity, but do not move or handle the product. Leave the ClimbUp Original Insect Interceptor for at least 21 days to provide the best opportunity to capture or monitor bed bug activities. During this time frame, you may remove bed bugs from the product by wiping them out with a cotton ball laced with a small quantity of talc. Immediately place the used cotton balls in a sealed plastic bag for disposal in an outdoor trashcan.

Where to Use

ClimbUp Original Insect Interceptor can be indoors under the legs of frequently used furniture such as beds, sofas, armchairs, and so on.

This product may not be able to be used with certain types of furniture, such as furniture without legs or skirts that touch the floor, where the legs are too large to fit in the center of the product.

When to Use

Use when you suspect bed bug activity or if there is already an active infestation. Apply to furniture that is in constant use by pets or people, as bed bugs will avoid areas that are not being used.
