Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol
Pyrid Aerosol is a powerful botanical insecticide made with natural ingredients. This insecticide aerosol spray controls a wide range of flying and crawling insects, such as flies and fruit flies, on contact. Pyrid is safe to use indoors or outdoors and does not contain harmful propellants or ozone-damaging chemicals.
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol, manufactured by Solutions Pest and Lawn, is a ready-to-use spray insecticide that begins killing insects like ants, fruit flies, and spiders on contact. This aerosol contains 0.5% pyrethrins and 4% piperonal butoxide (or PBO), which is an effective synergist, making it safer than most other pesticide aerosol chemicals.
This insecticide interferes with the labeled insects' central nervous system, resulting in an immediate knockdown and killing of the pest within minutes. The PBO in Pyrid is a potent synergist that increases the insecticide's efficacy for an easy-to-use and practical space and flushing spray.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, Pyrid Aerosol eliminates pests such as bed bugs, roaches, and spiders. With an included applicator straw, this spray easily reaches pests in cracks and crevices. This spray not only works for controlling pests like ants, but this spray also kills other pests like wasps from a safe distance of approximately 18 inches.
Pyrid provides two application methods of pest control: flushing hard-to-reach pests in out-of-reach areas or as a direct spray contact to quickly knock down potentially harmful pests like fruit flies in and around your home. Safe enough to use in food-prepping areas and strong enough to kill on contact, Pyrid Aerosol is the best aerosol product for the best price.
Tools Needed
Pyrid comes ready to use and requires no additional tools. This product includes an actuator for space spray or direct spray applications and an actuator with a straw application for crack and crevice treatments.
You will also need appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, eyewear, and a respirator or face mask.
This is not for use in outdoor residential misting systems or metered release devices.
How to Use
- Step 1: Shake the Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol can before application, then position the can appropriately for your desired application and apply. Ensure the white actuator is affixed to the can for space sprays and direct applications. Replace the white actuator with the red straw applicator for crack and crevice treatments and attach the application straw to the nozzle. When applying indoors, make sure all doors and windows are closed. Labeled application rates differ depending on how you use the product and the size of the space you are treating. For space sprays, you will apply Pyrid at 1 to 3 seconds per 1,000 cubic feet for flying insects or 20 seconds per 1,000 cubic feet for crawling insects. You can find the cubic footage of your treatment space by multiplying the space's length, width, and height. Do not apply more than one time per day.
- Step 2: For direct spraying, apply in short bursts 18 to 24 inches from the target surface, not exceeding 10 seconds of spray per room or 10 seconds per 100 cubic feet in commercial areas.
- Step 3: For crack and crevice treatments, apply at a rate of 3 feet per second for light infestations or 1 foot per second for heavy infestations.
- Step 4: Do not re-enter or allow others to enter the treated areas until it is dry and the vapors have dispersed.
Where to Use
Pyrid is labeled for use in apartments, campgrounds, food storage areas, homes, hospitals, hotels, motels, nursing homes, resorts, restaurants, other food-handling establishments, schools, supermarkets, transportation equipment (buses, boats, ships, trains, trucks, and aircraft—cargo areas only), utilities, warehouses, and other commercial and industrial buildings.
Do not allow the spray to contact plastic, painted or varnished surfaces, or directly into electronic equipment such as radios, TVs, computers, etc. Do not use it in aircraft cabins. This product may also not be used in hospital rooms while occupied, in any rooms occupied by the elderly or infirm, or in classrooms when in use.
Do not use in patient rooms in hospitals and nursing homes to treat bed bugs.
When to Use
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol can be used whenever flying or crawling pest activity is observed. It is especially useful in summer when pests are active or during fall and winter when pests invade indoors for food and shelter. When applying outdoors, spraying when wind speeds are lower than 5 miles per hour is best.
The product should only be used when temperatures exceed 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Safety Information
Pyrid Aerosol is safe for children and pets when applied per the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling or using this product.
Remove pets and birds, cover fish aquariums, and turn off the air pump motor before application. Remove patients from hospital rooms before treatment and thoroughly ventilate after application. Do not return patients to the room until after ventilation.
Do not allow people or pets into treatment areas until the product has dried completely.
Special Considerations
Pyrid can be used as often as needed to kill pests on contact, but this product does not leave any lasting residual. When spraying Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol indoors, turn off any air conditioners and fans, and make sure all doors and windows in the room are closed before application. This will prevent air currents from altering the intended spray area, ensuring your treatment stays on target.
This aerosol insecticide is an effective product that will help flush pests out of cracks and crevices or knock down active pests immediately. Most active infestations cannot be controlled through the use of one product. Typically, you will also need to use Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol with residual insecticides and bait or dust to get complete control.
When used in food handling and processing facilities, space spray applications should not be made while the facility operates. Before space spray applications, cover or remove food and cover food processing surfaces in the treatment area, or clean after and before use.

Q:will this product work on drugstore bugs .. if not, what do you recommend thanks7/9/24A:This stuff is very good and will kill loads of bugs, but it is nasty and you will need a respirator, rubber gloves and eye protection. Very potent. Also full clothing coverage. Don’t stand in the spray. Have a plan to spray to minimize exposure to it. Use your head when applying.

Q:I want to use this inside my home in case I get clover mites coming inside my house. I want to be prepared because right now I have them on the side of my garage on some trim and around the window. But it says in the instructions not to come in contact with plastic or painted surfaces. How could I spray my windows inside my home if it can’t can come in contact with plastic or painted surfaces? I have a pest control company that has already sprayed Demand CS outside and I have been spraying PT221L outside on my garage trim. The PT 221L is supposed to be for Clover mice but I don’t see it working.4/27/24A:It sounds like you may want to create a chemical barrier with this product which it does not do. Pyrid Insecticide is only intended for direct contact sprays when you see clover mites or other pests in your line of sight. If you believe you see clover mites around windows then you can use this product as a crack and crevice treatment.

Q:Does this product knock down grasshoppers?2/28/24A:It is not labelled for it. I have had great success using Nanotek at a rate of 1oz per gallon of water. It is a surfactant that when sprayed on bugs will coat them and suffocate them. https://www.solutionsstores.com/nanotek-surfactant

Q:Can no see uns stay alive when i move to new house?11/4/23A:There is a risk of bringing no-see-ums with you as you move. Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol will immediately knock down those you see, but will not leave a residual control. Best thing to do is to conduct an outdoor perimeter treatment around your new home. https://www.solutionsstores.com/noseeum-control

Q:Where do u spray if no see ums are all over They are on my clothing dishes even in refrig?HELP11/4/23A:You are probably seeing noseeums because there are gaps in your fridge so you will need to address those. These pests are attracted to standing water so take care to properly dry dishes, clothes, and other sites collecting moisture. Spray Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol indoors directly on noseeums, but do not spray dishes, untensils, or clothing. Best to examine the label for more specific application instructions. Check out our DIY guide to learn how to further control and prevent noseeums. https://www.solutionsstores.com/noseeum-control
