Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol, manufactured by Solutions Pest and Lawn, is a ready-to-use spray insecticide that begins killing insects like ants, fruit flies, flies, or spiders on contact. This ready to use insecticide aerosol contains the natural ingredient 0.5% pyrethrins, and 4% PBO (pipronyl butoxide) a synergist, making it safer than most other pesticide aerosol chemicals.
This insecticide is a synthetic pyrethroid that works by interfering with the labeled insects' central nervous system, resulting in an immediate knockdown and killing of the pest within minutes. The PBO in Pyrid is a powerful synergist that increases the efficacy of the insecticide for an easy to use and practical space and flushing spray.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use to eliminate pests such as bed bugs, roaches, and spiders. With an included applicator straw, Pyrid Aerosol insecticide makes reaching pests in cracks and crevices easy. This spray not only works for control over pests like ants, but this ant and roach spray also kills other pests like wasps from a safe distance of approxiametely 18".
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol provides two application methods of pest control by flushing hard to reach pests in out of reach areas or as a direct spray contact to quickly knockdown potentially harmful pests like fruit flies in and around your home. Safe enough to use in food prepping areas and strong enough to kill on contact, Pyrid Aerosol is the best aerosol product for the best price.
Tools Needed
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol comes ready to use and requires no additional tools. This product includes the aerosol can itself, a white actuator for space spray or direct spray applications, and a red actuator with an application straw for crack and crevice treatments.
With use of any pesticide, you will also need appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, eye wear, and a respirator or face mask.
Not for use in outdoor residential misting systems (indoor or outdoor) or metered release, devices.
How to Use
- Step 1: Shake the Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol can prior to application, then position the can appropriately for your desired application, and apply. For space sprays and direct applications, make sure the white actuator is affixed to the can. For crack and crevice treatments, replace the white actuator with the red straw applicator and affix the application straw to the nozzle. When applying indoors, make sure all doors and windows are closed. Labeled application rates differ depending on how you will be applying the product and the size of the space your treating. For space sprays, you will apply Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol at a rate of 1-3 seconds per 1,000 cubic feet for flying insects, or at a rate of 20 seconds per 1,000 cubic feet for crawling insects. You can find the cubic footage of your treatment space by multiplying the spaces length, width, and height. Do not apply more than 1 time per day.
- Step 2: For direct spraying, apply Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol in short bursts from a distance of 18-24 inches from the target surface, making sure not to exceed 10 seconds of spray per room or 10 seconds per 100 cubic feet in commercial areas.
- Step 3: For crack and crevice treatments, apply Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol at a rate of 3 feet per second for light infestations, or 1 foot per second for heavy infestations.
- Step 4: Do not re-enter or allow others to enter the treated area(s) until dry and vapors have dispersed, which can take between 15 minutes to half an hour once the area has been well-ventilated.
Where to Use
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol is labeled to be used in apartments, campgrounds, food storage areas, homes, hospitals, hotels, motels, nursing homes, resorts, restaurants, and other food handling establishments, schools, supermarkets, transportation equipment (buses, boats, ships, trains, trucks, and aircraft - cargo areas only), utilities, warehouses, and other commercial and industrial buildings.
Do not allow spray to contact plastic, painted or varnished surfaces or directly into electronic equipment such as radios, TVs, computers etc. Do not use in aircraft cabins. This product may also not be used in hospital rooms while occupied or in any rooms occupied by the elderly or infirm nor in classrooms when in use.
Do not use in patient rooms in hospitals and nursing homes for treatment of bed bugs.
When to Use
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol can be used whenever flying or crawling pest activity is observed. It is especially useful in summer when pests are active, or during fall and winter when pests invade indoors for food and shelter. When applying outdoors, it is best to spray when wind speeds are lower than 5 miles per hour.
Product should only be used when can temperature is above 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Safety Information
Pyrid Aerosol is safe to use around children and pets when applied per the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling or applying this product.
Remove pets, birds, cover fish aquariums and turn off air pump motor before application. Remove patients from hospital rooms prior to treatment and thoroughly ventilate (2 hours) after application. Do not return patients to room until, after ventilation.
Do not allow people or pets into treatment areas until the product has dried completely.
Special Considerations
Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol can be used as often as needed to kill pests on contact, but be aware this product does not leave any lasting residual. When spraying Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol indoors, turn off any air conditioners and fans, and make sure all doors and windows in the room are closed before application. This will prevent any air currents from altering the intended spray area, ensuring your treatment stays on target.
This aerosol insecticide is an effective product that will help flush pests out of cracks and crevices or knockdown active pests immediately. Most active infestations cannot be controlled through the use of one product. Typically, you will also need to use Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol with residual insecticides and bait or dust in order to get complete control.
When used in food handling and processing facilities: Do not make space spray applications while facility is in operation. Prior to space spray applications, cover or remove food and cover food processing surfaces, in the treatment area, or clean after treatment and before use.
