Oxem 4ME Select Fungicide

Oxem 4ME Select Fungicide, manufactured by Prime Source LLC, is a broad-spectrum, systemic fungicide concentrate that delivers preventative and curative control of turf and ornamental diseases, including root and crown rots.

Unlike contact fungicides that only protect the surface, this product moves through the plant’s vascular system, protecting it from the inside out. That means roots, stems, and leaves are all shielded from diseases caused by Pythium and Phytophthora spp. And with 2X the concentration of many competitive products, applicators get more disease-fighting power in every application.

Oxem 4ME Select Fungicide is a highly concentrated mefenoxam-based fungicide that stops various diseases already in progress while preventing new outbreaks in cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf, landscapes, ornamentals, and non-bearing citrus trees and fruit and nut plants. It mixes easily with other products, making it a reliable tank-mix partner for efficient, broad-spectrum turf and ornamental disease control.

A handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, or chemigation system.  

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Oxem 4ME Select Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For bedding plants, flowers, and foliage plants, apply 0.50 fl. oz. of Oxem 4ME Select Fungicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For woody ornamentals, mix 0.63 to 1.25 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
• Step 3: Apply evenly over the target turf or ornamental area, ensuring thorough coverage of roots, stems, and foliage. Repeat applications at 2-month intervals, if necessary.

Where to Use

Oxem 4ME Select Fungicide can be used on ornamental plants; ornamental bulb, corm, and tuber plants; conifers and conifer nurseries; Christmas trees and Christmas tree plantations; forest plantations; forest nurseries; and non-bearing citrus trees and fruit and nut plants grown in greenhouses and nurseries (including field- and container-grown plants grown outdoors and in shade houses, lath houses and other production sites and structures), retail nurseries, residential and commercial landscapes, and interior plantscape ornamentals.

It can also be used on listed vegetable transplants grown for retail sale to consumers and listed turf sites. 

When to Use

Apply before the disease appears on days when rainfall is not expected within 48 hours of application. 

Crops listed in this label may be replanted immediately in soil treated with mefenoxam. All other crops may not be planted in mefenoxam-treated soil for a period of 12 months.

Safety Information

Oxem 4ME Select Fungicide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Keep people and pets out of the treated area until 48 hours have passed after application. 

Special Considerations

Mefenoxam is known to leach through soil into ground water under certain conditions as a result of agricultural use. Use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in ground water contamination.
