Orthene Turf, Tree and Ornamental WSP

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Orthene Turf, Tree and Ornamental WSP to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the pest, apply 1/3 to 1 pound of Orthene Turf, Tree and Ornamental WSP per 100 gallons of water for ornamental trees and shrubs. For golf course turfgrass, use 1/2 to 2 oz. of product per 1 to 15 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To make outdoor and perimeter sprays, mix 1/3 pound of product in 3.3 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: To prepare spray solution, drop the unopened packet of Orthene Turf, Tree and Ornamental WSP into a spray tank containing at least half of the amount of water required. Direct water at the floating packet and continue to add the remaining half of the water with the agitator running until the spray volume is reached. Do not add any liquid fertilizers, micronutrients or adjuvants to the spray solution until after the packet and its contents have completely dissolved. The water-soluble packet should completely dissolve in approximately five minutes.
• Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For perimeter applications, spray 2 to 3 feet up the foundation and 6 to 10 ft adjacent to the structure on the soil. To control certain pests, you will need to irrigate lightly after application (not more than 1/2 inch).

Special Considerations

Not for indoor residential use. For greenhouse use, use is limited to commercial greenhouses for use on ornamental, floral, foliage plants and tobacco (floatbed application).
