Onetime Herbicide, manufactured by BASF, is an unsurpassed post-emergent herbicide to control numerous species of troublesome grassy and broadleaf weeds such as crabgrass, ground ivy, and many others in various terrain sites.

Features latest Drive XLR8 herbicide technology with MCPP-P and dicamba to deliver fast entry into weeds and quickly becomes rainfast within 30 minutes of application. Broadleaf weeds treated with this product display immediate bending and twisting of leaves and stems causing permanent death while grassy weeds demonstrate stunt of growth, chlorosis, and eventual reddening followed by necrosis and death.

Onetime Herbicide quickness can not only be seen in its creation, but its application as well as treated foliage absorbs the solution more rapidly.

Tools Needed

Onetime Herbicide will need to be applied with a backpack or handheld pump sprayer.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Onetime Herbicide to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre). Spot applications, will use the rate of 1.45 oz. of Onetime Herbicide per 0.5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Broadcast applications, apply 64 oz. of product per 20 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 128 oz. of product per acre in one year.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Onetime Herbicide, then pour in remaining half of water. Close the sprayer lid and shake to ensure even agitation.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but avoid misting and drift onto desired foliage. Wait until 30 days have passed after first application before retreating. Do not water treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application. Once this time has passed irrigate with 1/2 inches of water at least 2 to 7 days after application. Do not make more than 2 Onetime Herbicide applications per year.

Where to Use

Use Onetime Herbicide on grassy and broadleaf weeds in cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turfgrass within residential lawns, commercial lawns, multifamily dwellings, military and other institutions, parks, airports, roadsides, schools, picnic grounds, athletic fields, houses of worships, cemeteries, and golf courses (except on golf course collars and greens).

Do not apply to turfgrass grown for sod or on ornamental bed.

Nor apply this product to Bahiagrass, carpetgrass, St. Augustinegrass, centipedegrass, dichondra, or lawns, or turf where desirable clovers are present.

When to Use

Apply Onetime Herbicide when weeds are under the 2 to 4 tiller stage of growth, as weeds above this height will not be completely removed. For consistent results, make applications to newly germinated crabgrass, to 1-tiller crabgrass, and when crabgrass has matured to 5 tillers or greater.

Apply this product on calm, warm days when rainfall and windspeeds of 10 mph are not predicted for 24 hours after application.

Do not make applications to stressed turfgrass or drought stressed weeds.

Safety Information

Onetime Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or spraying this product.
