OHP Sirocco Miticide Insecticide

OHP Sirocco Miticide Insecticide, manufactured by OHP, is a powerful miticide and insecticide that packs a long-lasting control into every application, delivering fast knockdown and up to 28 days of residual protection against a broad-spectrum of pests on ornamentals and crops in greenhouses, landscapes, nurseries, and more.

This suspension concentrate formulation combines two active ingredients bifenazate and abamectin into one potent solution to create a unique synergistic effect. This unique combination results in multiple modes of action, making Sirocco an effective choice for resistance management against mites, leafminers, and more while providing both immediate and long-term protection.

OHP Sirocco Miticide Insecticide is a highly concentrated insecticide and miticide that provides a multi-pronged approach, which makes it harder for ornamental and fruit tree pests to adapt and ensures more effective long-term control. With its dual-active formula of bifenazate and abamectin, quick knockdown, up to 28 days of residual control, and broad-spectrum pest coverage, it’s designed to give growers the confidence that their plants are protected.

Tools Needed

Apply by ground equipment including compressed air sprayers, hydraulic sprayers, ground boom sprayers, air blast sprayers, or hose-end sprayers.

How to Use

• Step 1: Shake the container well before use. Apply 3 to 4 fl. oz. of OHP Sirocco Miticide Insecticide per 100 gallons of water to control mites. For all other pests, use 6 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. 
• Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
• Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of the leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. One additional application can be made after 7 days or as necessary to maintain control. Do not make more than 2 applications per crop per year.

Where to Use

OHP Sirocco Miticide Insecticide can be used on all ornamental plants, including bedding plants, flowering plants, foliage plants, bulb crops, perennials and trees, and shrubs. It may also be used on all non-bearing fruit trees, which will not bear fruit for a minimum of 12 months.

Make applications to the following areas where these plants are grown and/or maintained in containers or in the ground, greenhouses and shadehouses, nurseries, including Christmas tree/conifer plantations, landscapes, and interiorscapes. 

When to Use

Begin applications as soon as pests appear. 

Safety Information

OHP Sirocco Miticide Insecticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Keep people and pets out of the treated area until the spray has dried. 

Special Considerations

Residual control of pests may be enhanced with the addition of a horticultural spray oil at 0.5 to 1.0% of the spray volume on field-grown woody ornamentals, landscape plants and Christmas trees. Some plants are sensitive to oils and so without prior experience the user should spray a small number of plants and observe plants for 2 weeks before spraying the remaining plants.
