This systemic granular insecticide travels throughout the foliage root system and leaves, ensuring that feeding insects no matter where they nibble ingest the active ingredient for complete kill. Thanks to its translaminar activity, the product moves into leaf tissues, delivering rapid knockdown of insect populations such as thrips, aphids, grubs, and more while maintaining longer-lasting residual effects.
OHP Marathon 1% Granular Insecticide is an economical and powerful imidacloprid-based granular insecticide that can be applied to ornamentals, fruit and nut trees, vegetable transplants with low minimum rates. With up to 12 weeks of control, growers save time, reduce labor, and protect their crops with confidence.

How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much OHP Marathon 1% Granular Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For topical applications on vegetable transplants (1 to more plants per pot), and herbaceous species, apply 1/4 level teaspoons of OHP Marathon 1% Granular Insecticide. For ornamental and vegetable transplants, and containerized plants grown in flats, on benches, or in beds use 15 ounces of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Calibrate the spreader to the proper setting the load the proper amount of product.
- Step 3: Evenly apply granules to the soil or growing media surface. Irrigate moderately after application to move the active ingredient into the root zone. Do not allow significant leaching and runout for at least 3 irrigations or 10 days, whichever is longer.
Where to Use
OHP Marathon 1% Granular Insecticide can be used on ornamentals, non-bearing fruit and nut trees, and vegetable transplants in greenhouses, nurseries, and interior plantscapes.
Do not apply this product, by any application method, to linden, basswood or other Tilia species.
When to Use
Apply when pest activity is first noticed or prior to activity.

Special Considerations
Onset of protection is slower than in herbaceous species. A delay of 2 or more weeks is expected. Longer delays may be expected with larger plants. Make application in advance of expected insect activity.
