Nitrophos Weed & Feed with Trimec is a quick-release fertilizer that controls broadleaf and other common weeds while also fertilizing and feeding your lawn.
Nitrophos Weed and Feed with Trimec made by Nitrophos is a both a fertilizer and a weed killer. It contains a core analysis of 15-5-10. This product does a great job in clearing out common weeds like chickweed, clover, dandelion, and many others and contains the right set of nutrients to promote a beautiful, vibrant lawn.
Tools Needed
To use Nitrophos Weed and Feed all you need is a reliable fertilizer spreader to broadcast the granules. You could use a hand spreader or a push spreader. We recommend a push broadcast spreader for best results.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Nitrophos Weed and Feed you need by first calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure and multiply the area length times width in feet (length x width = square footage.) The rate for Nitrophos Weed and Feed is 3.2 lbs for every 1000 sq ft. So for example, if you wish to treat a yard that measures 3,000 sq. ft, you would need 9.6 lbs of Nitrophos Weed and Feed.
- Step 2: Calibrate your spreader to the right spreader setting for application and load the granules into the spreader. The label should provide you with the proper calibration recommendation.
- Step 3: Push the spreader from one side of the lawn to the other making sure to get an even spread. This may take about two perpendicular passes on your lawn.
- Step 4: Water the lawn a day or two after the application to help the product seep into the soil and stick to the weed leaf surface to control weeds.
- Step 5: Conduct a follow-up application after 30 days to make sure the correct amount of nitrogen is put down.

Nitrophos Weed and Feed can be used on a variety of lawns like St. Augustine, bermuda, centipede, bahia, fescue and a number of other grass types. Check the label for details.
