Niban Granular Bait
Niban Granular Bait
Niban Granular Bait, manufactured by Nisus Corporation, is a granular insecticide made with boric acid that controls many different crawling insects without breaking down from sunlight, heat, or 6" of rain.
Formulated with the active ingredient orthoboric acid 5.0%, which is derived from boron an essential micronutrient found throughout nature. As a result, this powerful bait poses a low impact to the environment but controls a wide range of pests like silverfish.
Niban Insect Bait is a tough weatherized granule that will continue to work despite various elements in its environment. Its versatility is further seen with its ability to not mold when wet unlike other baits on the market.
Tools Needed
To use Niban Granular Bait on large outdoors areas, a handheld spreader is recommended. For cracks and crevices treatment, use a bulb duster. It may also be directly poured from the product container with its convenient handles.
How to Use
- Step 1: Inspect the property and inside the home or building to know which crawling pest is being controlled and to know what areas need treated. This will determine how to apply the Niban Granular Bait and how much product to apply. For campgrounds, cemeteries, greens of golf courses, home lawns, lawns, ornamental turf, parks, picnic areas, playing fields, and recreational turf use 2 lbs. of Niban Granular Bait per 1000 sq. ft. (3.2 oz. or 2/3 cup of product per 100 square feet) or 90 lbs. of product per acre. To control and kill snails and slugs in flower gardens and around ornamentals, ground-covers, and shrubs use 6 oz. of product per 100 sq. ft. For perimeter treatments, apply 6 oz. or 1-1/4 cups of product per 100 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for more specific rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill your spreader or duster with the proper amount of Niban Granular Bait. Follow the loading instructions according to your tool of choice.
- Step 3: Open the Niban Granular Bait jug and hold it about 4-5 inches above the ground and shake the granules out in 2-4 foot bands around the perimeter of area being treated. Dust a small amount of product into cracks and crevices.
