Navicon Fungicide, manufactured by BASF, is a professional fungicide that provides excellent control over 28 diseases in non-residential turfgrass within 14 days of treatment.

This dual action fungicide also delivers powerful health plant benefits from the roots and up due to its derivation from Insignia Instrisic brand fungicide. After uptake of this product, the majority of the active ingredients stay in the inner leaves and release slowly for superior long-lasting protection.

Navicon Fungicide also combines the power of Maxima Fungicide, which provides a strong safety for various turfgrasses at any point of the season.

Tools Needed

Navicon Fungicide may be applied by ground sprayers including tractor groundboom, backpack/handboom, handwand, etc.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Navicon Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the disease, apply 0.7 to 0.85 fl. oz. of Navicon Fungicide in 1 to 4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of turfgrass. For larger applications, use 30.5 to 37 fl. oz. of product in 44 to 174 gallons of water per acre of turfgrass depending on the disease. Make no more than 3 applications per acre per year.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured Navicon Fungicide, then pour in remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until solution is evenly-mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the Navicon Fungicide solution to the top and bottom of turfgrass blades until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For best results, apply 0.25 inches irrigation following application. Make up to 2 applications 14 to 28 days apart in fall and up to 2 applications 28 days apart in spring.

Where to Use

Navicon Fungicide can be used on non-residential turfgrass within golf courses (tees, greens, fairways, roughs, and naturalized areas on golf courses), cemeteries, commercial and industrial sites, and sod farms.

Do not use this product on residential turfgrass or athletic fields.

When to Use

Apply Navicon Fungicide in the fall and spring before disease activity occurs or when signs of activity is beginning to show.

Do not apply this product when rainfall is expected to occur within 48 hours of application. This product may not be applied when the treatment area is under stress from heat, cold, drought, or other conditions that could affect efficacy.

Safety Information

Navicon Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not allow people or pets to enter treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
