Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide
Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide
Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide, manufactured by VPG, is a strong fungicide concentrate that helps maintain the health of ornamentals and turf against diseases from the point of bloomage to the day of harvest.
Tackles common plant diseases such as downy mildew, blight, and powdery mildew with the active ingredient copper octanoate 10.0%.
Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide is a natural OMRI listed fungicide concentrate that cures and prevents a broad-spectrum of diseases at various points in the season.
Tools Needed
To apply Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide, you will need a handheld pump sprayer or backpack sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Depending on the disease, mix 0.5 to 2.0 fl. oz. of Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of ornamentals. For turf applications, use 1.5 to 6 fl. oz. of product in 2.5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Do not use more than 391 fl. oz. of product per 1000 sq. ft. per year on turf or more than 373 fl. oz. of product per 1000 sq. ft. per year on ornamentals. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount, add measured amount of Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide, then pour in the remaining half of water into the tank. Close the sprayer tank and agitate until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray all plant parts thoroughly (top and bottom of leaves) with the mixed Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide, but not to the point of runoff. Repeat every 7 to 10 days until disease is controlled.
Where to Use
Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide can be used on ornamentals, turf, roses, shrubs, and listed fruits and vegetables.
When to Use
Start spraying Natural Guard Copper Soap Fungicide before the disease is visible or when disease is first visible on the plant. If possible, time applications so that at least 12 hours of dry weather follows application.
