How to Use

Backpack Sprayer Spraying

  • Step 1: Determine how much Monterey Weed Impede to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For ornamental applications, apply 3 fl. oz. of Monterey Weed Impede in 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat warm-seasoned grass in states other than Florida, use a rate of 1 to 1.5 fl. oz. of product in 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For warm-seasoned grass in Florida, use 1 fl. oz. of product in 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: Place the sprayer on a level surface before mixing. Add half the amount of water, then pour in the measured amount of Monterey Weed Impede. Next, add the remaining half of water then agitate the sprayer to mix.
  • Step 3: Broadcast the mixed Monterey Weed Impede solution to the top and bottom of turf and ornamental blades until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For ornamentals bulbs, you will need to apply the product to the soil surface 2 to 4 weeks after planting, but prior to the emergence of annual weeds. For fall planted bulbs, apply this product again in late winter or early spring to weed-free soil surfaces. If no rainfall has occurred 7 days after application, then apply 1/2 inches of irrigation.
