11/04/25
Monterey Fish & Guano Liquid Plant Fertilizer, manufactured by Monterey, is a powerful, natural liquid fertilizer that greatly enriches the plants and promotes vigorous growth.
By combining the natural qualities of fish, guano, and a 9-6-2 npk formulation, this liquid fertilizer provides essential nutrients and minerals that support the health of ornamentals and vegetables. The fish promotes healthy leaf growth and plant vitality with levels of nitrogen, whereas the guano contributes significant levels of phosphorus and potassium, which supports strong root development and flowering.
Monterey Fish & Guano Liquid Plant Fertilizer is a balanced and natural choice for gardeners seeking lush, green plant growth and strong roots and blooming. As a result of these well-rounded nutrients, there can be better yields in fruit and vegetable plants and better flowering in ornamental foliage.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or a hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Depending on your foliage and application methods, the rates will vary. Ensure that all current pest and fungi issues have been resolved before application. To treat bedding/ornamental plants such as trees and shrubs as a foliar spray, use 1/2 fl. oz. of Monterey Fish & Guano Liquid Plant Fertilizer per gallon of water with standard application equipment. For applications with a hose-end sprayer for bedding/ornamental plants, you will need 1/2 pint (8 fl. oz.) per gallon of water. A general soil drench application will use 1/2 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Shake well before mixing and keep solution mixed well during application. Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water then add the proper amount of Monterey Fish & Guano Liquid Plant Fertilizer. Add in the remaining half of the water and shake until well-mixed. For hose-end sprayers, only add the proper amount of product, then spray until the right amount of water is mixed in.
- Step 3: Cover both the top and bottom of the plant leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff for foliar sprays. A soil drench application will be done by spraying the soil beneath the plants. Just know a soil drench application for transplants will be different in the sense that you will pour 1/2 pint (8 fl. oz.) of solution in the prepared hole, back fill with soil and firmly tap it into place. Repeat every 14 days for transplants and trees. Apply monthly during the growing season for bedding/ornamental plants, flowers, and vegetables. For indoor houseplants, reapply every time you water.
Where to Use
Monterey Fish & Guano Liquid Plant Fertilizer can be used for bedding/ornamental plants, flowers (potted, seedlings, cuttings, bulbs/seeds, and rooting), trees (fruit - citrus), vegetables, indoor houseplants, and transplants.
When to Use
Apply in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid leaf damage.
Do not apply if heavy rain is expected.
