Simple to assemble and use, this ready-to-use trap lures male citrus leafminer moths to the pheromone-scented adhesive. This action results in complete preventative control before severe crop damages occur and alerts plant owners when to employ more serious insecticide applications. 

Monterey Citrus Leafminer Trap and Lure gives residential and commercial citrus tree owners a sanitary measure to detect and control citrus leafminer moths. Additionally, beneficial pests are not harmed as the adhesive is only attractive to male citrus leafminer moths. 

Tools Needed

No tools are needed as this trap comes ready to use.

How to Use

• Step 1: Attach hanger.
• Step 2: Grasp the trap by the top and bottom flaps. Pull apart to form a trap. Do not touch the glue.
• Step 3: Open the lure packet. Place one lure on the inside upper surface of the trap. Do not touch the attractant lure.
• Step 4: Hang the Monterey Citrus Leafminer Trap and Lure 1 to 2 feet inside the tree canopy at about chest height. Use at least one pheromone trap per 5 acres. Check for moths every 2 to 3 days and apply appropriate treatments to control moths. Dispose of traps when full or at least every 6 weeks.

When to Use

Place the traps in trees 1 to 5 weeks before bud break, in early spring.
