Micora Fungicide
Micora Fungicide
Micora Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a superior protectant fungicide that offers an immediate and long-lasting control against certain foliar, root, and stem diseases on commercial grown ornamentals.
Due to its active ingredient mandipropamid 23.3%, this product is better suited for fast contact protection on leaf surfaces all the way to its roots for over 70 ornamental crops.
Micora Fungicide is quickly rainfast upon drying and offers a short 4-hour entry interval, providing commercial growers better time management, including flexibility with production schedules and other tasks.
Tools Needed
To use Micora Fungicide, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or chemigation system. A spreading/penetrating type adjuvant such as a non-ionic surfactant, crop oil concentrate, silicone based, or blend may be added with this product.
This product may be applied by air to field-grown roses only. Do not apply through any ultra-low volume (ULV) spray system.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Micora Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For ornamental crops, apply 4-8 fl. oz. of Micora Fungicide in 100 gallons of water. Applications to basil transplants grown in enclosed greenhouses with permanent flooring for re-sale to consumers, use 8.0 fl. oz. of product in 50 gallon of water per acre. For listed brassica crops, fruiting vegetables (except tomatoes), leafy vegetables, and tomatoes grown in enclosed greenhouses with permanent flooring for re-sale to consumers, apply 5.5 to 8.0 fl. oz. of product in 50 gallons of water per acre. Apply no more than two applications of this product per crop. For all field, shade houses, and unenclosed hoop houses or greenhouses without permanent flooring, do not apply more than 32 fl. oz. of product per acre per calendar year.
- Step 2: In a separate tank mix container, fill it with the amount of water then add the measured amount of Micora Fungicide. Fill it the rest of the way with the remaining half of water then agitate the solution until mixed. Begin application of the spray solution after this product has completely dispersed into the water.
- Step 3: Make a thorough coverage to the entire plant with the mixed Micora Fungicide, including the top and bottom of leaves without excessive runoff (to the point of drip). For drench applications to plants grown in containers, thoroughly wet the root zone of the plants without leaching through the container.
Where to Use
Micora Fungicide can be used in greenhouse and outdoor grown ornamentals, including those grown in hoop, lath and shade structures. It may also be used on listed vegetables and basil grown for transplant and retail sale to consumers.
When to Use
Use Micora Fungicide before disease appears on foliage in their last growth stage. You can treat basil during the plug growing stage and during the crop finishing stage.
Do not apply this product directly to humans or animals.
Do not apply when rainfall is expected to occur within 48 hours after application. Do not apply within 1 day of harvest or shipping for basil.
Safety Information
Micora Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not enter or allow worker entry into treated areas until 4 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Micora Fungicide has been shown to be safe when applied at the recommended rates to the ornamental plants listed in Table 2 of the product label. However, due to the large number of genera, species and varieties of ornamental and nursery plants, it is impossible to test every one for tolerance to this product so some injuries are possible.
