Maxtima Fungicide
Maxtima Fungicide
Maxtima Fungicide, manufactured by BASF, is an excellent fungicide that provides fast, and economical control over a wide range of diseases in commercial and golf course turf.
This easy to use product provides a wide application window on non-residential turf as it can be applied during any temperatures.
Maxtima Fungicide offers an enhanced binding power to accommodate compacted areas ridden with diseases like dollar spot within 14 days of treatment.
Tools Needed
To use Maxtima Fungicide, you will need a ground sprayers such as a tractor groundboom, backpack/ handboom, handwand, etc.
How to use
- Step 1: Determine how much Maxtima Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the disease, use 0.2 to 0.8 fl. oz. of Maxtima Fungicide in 1-4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. You may also use between 8.6 fl. oz. of product per 44 to 174 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates for the disease you are trying to control.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Maxtima Fungicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the sprayer tank and shake until solution is completely mixed.
- Step 3: Adjust your sprayer to a coarse spray pattern then apply the Maxtima Fungicide solution to the top and bottom of turfgrass blades until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Water treated areas with 0.25 inches of irrigation after application.
Where to Use
Use Maxtima Fungicide on turfgrass within golf courses (tees, greens, fairways, roughs, and naturalized areas on golf courses), cemeteries, commercial and industrial sites, and sod farms.
Do not use this product on residential turfgrass, athletic fields, or greenhouse grown turf.
When to Use
Apply Maxtima Fungicide before disease activity occurs or when first noticed on turf. Make 2 applications in the fall when soil temperature is between 55 degrees Fahrenheit and again in spring when soil temperatures reach 60 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit at a 2-inch depth.
