Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations

Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations, manufactured by Bayer, are .01% Fipronil-based ant bait stations that effectively control indoor ant infestations.

This product is easy to place and work by ingesting or contacting the gel. Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations contain a patented bait formulation that kills odorous house ants, pharaoh ants, and other common household ants.

When properly used, the Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations attract foraging worker ants. The targeted ants feed on the bait and return it to the nest, destroying the queen and the entire colony. Maxforce FC stations deliver effective control for up to one year.

Tools Needed

This product is ready for pre-bait stations; thus, no secondary application tools are necessary.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine if the ant infestation is indoors or outdoors. Simply place each Maxforce FC Ant Bait Station indoors or outdoors (adjacent to the home or structure) immediately next to ant trails or close to areas where ants are numerous. Nests are usually located in dark, humid, and warm areas close to a water and food source.
• Step 2: For regular indoor infestations, you should use 3 Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations in an average-sized room. For heavier infestations, you will need additional bait stations in each room. If infestation persists beyond two weeks, replace all bait stations where the bait has been wholly consumed and relocate bait stations that show no evidence of ant feeding.
• Step 3: For outdoor use, Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations should be placed adjacent to the home or structure near ant activity or anywhere ants may gain access to the house or structure. Application sites include electrical conduits, vents, pipe chases, concrete slabs, and skylights on roofs, around ant mounds, garbage cans, and trees, along walls, window sills, sidewalks, and driveways, and on the ground around homes or structures.
• Step 4:  Increased ant activity may be seen near the Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations immediately after placement for short periods, but you can expect to see less activity within three days. After placement, ant trails may be observed between the bait stations and the nests. For best results, do not interfere with the ants or the stations because ants must carry the bait back to the nest to destroy the queen and colony. Inspect all bait stations and replace them as needed to control ants continuously.

Where to Use

Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations may be used indoors or outdoors. They can control ants in hospitals, nursing homes, daycare centers, schools, residential establishments, warehousing and commercial establishments, food service, food manufacturing and food processing facilities, laboratories, computer and electronic equipment facilities, pet shops, zoos, buses, boats, aircraft, and trains.

For maximum effectiveness in ant control, the bait station should be placed in or near wall voids, electrical outlets (if wiring permits), potted plants, waste-paper baskets, garbage cans, and sinks. Bait stations can also be placed in cabinets, beside dishes, near sensitive equipment, or anywhere specifically listed on this label.

Outdoor application sites include electrical conduits, vents, pipe chases, concrete slabs, skylights on roofs; around ant mounds, garbage cans, and trees; along walls, window sills, sidewalks, and driveways; on ground around homes or structures.

In zoos and pet shops, bait stations are placed out of the reach of zoo animals and pets.

When to Use

This product should be used when there is an active ant infestation, which is most likely between the Spring and Fall months.

Safety Information

Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations are safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Special Considerations

Do not use residual sprays near the Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations. The worker ants must remain alive to carry the bait back to the queen and immature workers. Residual sprays may cause worker ants to spread out and form secondary colonies.

This product works because it is non-repellent and thus will not cause secondary colony formation.
