Tools Needed

To apply Manzate MAX T&O Fungicide, you will need to use a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, aircraft sprayer, or by chemigation.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Manzate MAX T&O Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the disease, apply between 6.4 to 12.8 fl. oz. of Manzate MAX T&O Fungicide in 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of commercial sod farm turf. For non-residential lawn grasses, apply 5 to 7 or 10 to 14 fl. oz. of product in 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For horticultural applications on field, nursery, greenhouse, and landscape areas use 1.5 qts. of product per 100 gallons of water. Maximum applications on cool Season grasses; greens, tees and aprons is 5 applications per year at the rate of 4.35 gallons of product per application. Maximum number of applications on cool season grasses; fairways and on warm season grasses; greens, tees, and aprons is 4 applications per year at the rate of 4.35 gallons of product per application. Maximum number of applications on warm season grasses; fairways is 3 applications per year at the rate of 4.35 gallons of product per application. There is a maximum of 4 applications per year with a maximum application rate 4.35 gallons of product per application for all other turf.
  • Step 2: Pour half the amount of water into the spray tank then slowly add the measured amount of Manzate MAX T&O Fungicide into the water. Pour in the remaining half of water while continuously agitating the spray tank. Add other fungicides, insecticides, growth regulators, micronutrients, and spray adjuvants after the product has been thoroughly mixed. Premix thoroughly in a nurse tank for concentrate or aircraft sprayers. When preparing spray solutions for use in a hand sprayer, premix as a slurry in a small container, and then add to sprayer containing 1/3 to 1/2 the desired final water volume.
  • Step 3: Thoroughly spray plant foliage with Manzate MAX T&O Fungicide to the point of runoff when using handheld pump sprayers or backpack sprayers. When using other ground equipment like spray rigs be sure to spray no higher than 4 feet above the target area. For aerial applications, treat areas at height no higher than 10 feet. You may retreat commercial sod farms and golf course greens when 10 days have passed after the first application. Field, nursery, greenhouses, and landscapes can be retreated when 7-10 days have passed after the previous application throughout the season.
