Mallet 75 WSP Insecticide

Mallet 75 WSP Insecticide, manufactured by Nufarm, is an excellent contact and residual insecticide that comes in pre-measured packets for convenient and accurate mixing, ensuring precise dosage every time without the mess or exposure risks. 

The product works by moving throughout the plant systemically, allowing pests to ingest the active ingredient while feeding, ultimately leading to paralysis and death. This internal protection shields the plant for weeks or even months, depending on the application method.

Mallet 75 WSP Insecticide is a versatile systemic insecticide that offers exceptional value and powerful control for a wide range of pests in turf, landscape ornamentals, greenhouses, and interior plantscapes.

It can be used with an airblast sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Mallet 75 WSP Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turfgrasses, apply 1 packet (1.6 oz.) of Mallet 75 WSP Insecticide per 2 gallons of water per 8,250 to 11,000 sq. ft. For ornamentals, trees, shrubs, evergreens, flowers, foliage plants, groundcovers, non-bearing fruit and nut trees, and vegetable plants apply 1 packet of product per 300 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water. Remove the packets from the outer bag, but do not open the packets. Keep unused packets sealed in the outer bag. Allow the packets to fully dissolve in the water. Add the remaining half of the water and begin agitation. 
• Step 3: Spray the soil evenly until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For foliar applications, be sure to spray the top and bottom of plant leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. After application, irrigate the treated area to push the product into the soil.

Where to Use

Mallet 75 WSP Insecticide can be used in turfgrass, landscape ornamentals, on fruit and nut trees, on ornamental and vegetable plants in greenhouses, nurseries, and interior plantscapes. 

When to Use

Time applications to occur before heavy pest populations arise on days when rainfall is expected to occur within 24 hours of application. 

Safety Information

Mallet 75 WSP Insecticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until the spray has dried. 

Special Considerations

When making soil applications to plants with woody stems, systemic activity will be delayed until the active ingredient is translocated throughout the plant. In some cases, this translocation delay could take 60 days or longer. For this reason, applications must be made prior to anticipated pest infestation to achieve control.
