*This product is a restricted use pesticide and must have a certified applicator license to be able to purchase.
Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is a professional emulsifiable concentrate insecticide that controls and suppresses a broad-spectrum of pests within 7-21 days of application.
This agricultural-leading product contains the lethal active ingredient Lambda-cyhalothrin 11.4%, which immediately stops pests like spider mites, beet armyworms, and cabbage webworms.
Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide delivers the ultimate form of pests control in crops and ornamentals with a trusted formuation at an excellent value.
Tools Needed
Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, or by chemigation equipment.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For pastures and rangelands, apply 2.56 to 3.84 fl. oz. of Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide in 7 gallons of water per acre. For conifers and deciduous trees in plantations and nurseries, use 2.56 to 5.12 fl. oz. of product in 2 gallons of water per acre. To treat turfgrass, apply 2.9 to 6 ml of product in 4-5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For spot treatments in turf, use 0.44 fl. oz. of product per 1-2.5 gallons of water. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Shake the tank until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Cover the plant thoroughly with Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide spray, including trunks, stems, twigs, and foliage. Reapply as stated on the label for the specific treatment area.
Where to Use
Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide can be used for listed crops, legume vetables, tobacco, tree nuts, fruiting vegetables, pasture and rangeland grass, conifers and deciduous trees (plantations, nurseries, and seed orchards), and non-cropland (except public land), and ornamentals in greenhouses, shadehouses, and nurseries.
This product may also be used for lawns around residential, institutional, public, commercial, and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, golf courses, and athletic fields, golf course and athletic field turf.
When to Use
Apply Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide when insect activity is first noticed on days when rain is not expected for the next 24 hours after spraying.
Safety Information
Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not graze livestock in treated areas.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Because Greenbug is known to have many biotypes, it is possible that Lambda-Cy EC Insecticide may only provide suppression. If this occurs, a second application using an alternative chemistry may be needed.
