Nectus 2G Rodenticide (Single Feed), manufactured by J.T. Eaton, is a professional second-generation bait (single-feed bait for a lethal dosage), making it especially effective against rats and mice reluctant to take other baits. This appetizing soft bait is also efficient in areas where there are competing food sources.

Made with 0.005% Bromadiolone and oil-scented compounds, this bait has a moist texture, making it ideal for indoor use. Due to its unique design, the moisture within this bait helps satisfy a rodent's thirst, thus preventing these pests from traveling to other indoor areas with water. The bait comes in small bags that rodents can easily break through to eat.

Nectus 2G Rodenticides (Single Feed) 's powerful combination of aromas and moisture makes it ideal for indoor rat and mouse control. As a second-generation anticoagulant, it decreases Vitamin K levels in the rodent's blood, leading to blood clotting, causing it to perish within 3 to 5 days. It also contains Bitrex to discourage pets and children from consuming the bait.

Tools Needed

To use Nectus 2G Rodenticide (Single Feed), you must place the product inside a tamper-resistant bait station.

How to Use

Placing Rat and Mouse Bait Station

  • Step 1: After removing as much food, water, and harborage as possible, determine dry areas where rats and mice will most likely find and consume the bait.
  • Step 2: For house mice, apply 1 of the Nectus 2G Rodenticide per bait station, and usually have each station spaced 8 to 12 feet apart. Two bags may be needed at points of very high mouse activity. Maintain a constant supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until signs of mouse activity cease.
  • Step 3: For Norway Rats and Roof Rats, apply 10 to 42 of the Nectus 2G Rodenticide per bait station. Space each bait station 15 to 30 feet apart at appropriate locations within the infested area. Maintain a continuous supply of fresh bait for at least 10 days or until signs of new feeding by rats on bait cease to appear.
  • Step 4: While wearing gloves, replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. Collect and properly dispose of dead animals, leftover bait and bait bags, and any bait that has become accessible to non-target animals. If re-infestation does occur, repeat treatment. For continuous sources of infestation, set up permanent bait stations and replenish them as needed.

Where to Use

Apply Nectus 2G Rodenticide in a tamper-resistant bait station both indoors and outdoors. Place this product in a tamper-resistant bait station in and within 100 feet of man-made structures like homes and other permanent or temporary residences, food processing facilities, industrial and commercial buildings, trash receptacles, agricultural and public buildings, transport vehicles (ships, trains, aircraft), docks and port of terminal buildings and related structures around and associated with these sites.

Fence and perimeter baiting beyond 100 feet from these structures, as defined above, is prohibited.

Generally, pests will most likely find the bait along walls, by gnawed openings, beside burrows, in corners and concealed places, between floors and walls, or in locations where signs of rats or house mice have been seen.

Do not place this product near or inside ventilation duct openings.

When to Use

Nectus 2G Rodenticide can be used when rodents have foraged, defecated, damaged, perished, or been seen in or around your property. This can happen at any time of the year but is especially common in fall and winter.

Safety Information

Nectus 2G Rodenticide (Single Feed) is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.

Bait stations are mandatory for outdoor, above-ground use. If children, pets, non-target mammals, or birds may access the bait, tamper-resistant bait stations must be used.

Nectus 2G Rodenticide (Single Feed) is extremely toxic to mammals and birds. Dogs, cats, and other predatory and scavenging mammals and birds might be poisoned if they feed upon animals that have eaten this bait.

Special Considerations

If Nectus 2G Rodenticide can be shaken from the bait stations when they are lifted, units must be secured or otherwise immobilized.
