Iguana Scram Professional
Iguana Scram Professional
Iguana Scram, manufactured by Epic Incorporated, has a dual action granular formulation that repels and controls iguanas from climbing and tearing up desired foliage throughout multiple seasons.
Formulated with various oils of rosemary 3.000%, cedarwood 3.000%, thyme 1.000%, cinnamon 0.508%, clove 0.508%, garlic 0.030%, and other ingredients like peanut hulls 89.954%, and sodium chloride 2.000%. These natural, safe ingredients will work to repel the iguana through taste and smell from treated areas without emitting strong odors to people.
Iguana Scram is an environmentally safe and biodegradable product that can easily be applied to various landscaped areas. With its unique organic ingredients it will humanely stop iguanas from tearing up your plants, trees, shrubs, and more in one application regardless of the season.
Tools Needed
Iguana Scram comes ready to use as it comes with an included scoop or you can shake the product materials from the container by hand. As an alternative, you can use a hand or push spreader to spread the granules in the area you wish to treat.
Make sure to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves when handling or applying this product.
How to Use
- Step 1: Examine the areas that iguanas have been most active or determine the exterior perimeter of landscaped areas that you wish to protect. Determine how much Iguana Scram to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment areas length and width in feet and follow the formula (length X width = square footage). Iguana Scram will need to be applied as an 18 inch barrier around the outside of the landscaped area. For trees and shrubs, you will sprinkle the product around tree and shrub bases as a 24 inch barrier starting from the drip line.
- Step 2: Using the scoop provided load the appropriate amount of Iguana Scram into the top of the your selected spreader or by hand onto the treatment area. Avoid application onto desired foliage as this will not efficiently repel iguanas from shrubs and trees. Treat only the surrounding perimeter.
- Step 3: Reapply as needed or after excessive periods of rainfall. For excessive iguana infestation in the area, apply a second band 15 inches out from the first strip around the bed and lightly sprinkle the product throughout the inside of the bed. This will stop the problem and only a single band nearest the bed will be needed for maintenance.
Where to Use
Use Iguana Scram inside and around landscaped areas, tree, and shrubs.
When to Use
Iguana Scram should be applied at the first sign of iguana activity, which is usually during the warmer months such as spring and summer. Apply on your property when rainfall and wind is predicted for at least 24 hours after application.
Safety Information
Iguana Scram is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling or applying this product.
Special Considerations
Iguana Scram works in all seasons, but reapplications may be needed during your regions rainfall months.
