Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC, manufactured by Ecologel Solutions, is a biodegradable and eco-friendly dispersible soil surfactant that lowers the need to water outdoor foliage helping to reduce utility bills, conserve water sources, and minimize drought stress.

Contains a proprietary blend of the Hydretain soil moisture management technology enhanced with a superior, naturally derived soil surfactant. This unique product works by converting soil moisture vapor that would otherwise be lost to evaporation into plant useable water droplets. In addition, Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC will also provide the proper amount of soil moisture necessary for most pesticides and fertilizers.

Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC is an easy to spread granule surfactant that is safe and effective for all types of plants. When applied, this product maximizes water availability to the plant allowing growers to product more while using less water.

To use Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC, you will need a drop spreader, handheld spreader, or rotary spreader.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turf, apply 120 lbs. of Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC per acre or 2.7 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat large planters and gardens, use 1 lb. of product for each 100 sq. ft. of planter bed. For shrubs, individual plants, potted or containerized Plants apply at a rate of 1 lb. of product for each cubic foot of planting media either topically or mixed into planting media at time of planting. For trees, apply 1.5 to 2 lbs. of product for each caliper inch.
• Step 2: Calibrate your spreader to deliver the proper amount of Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC, then load the product into the spreader.
• Step 3: Broadcast the Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC across the treatment area until evenly coated. After application, immediately water the product in with a light amount of water. If you do not water after application, you will need to do so within 3-5 days after treatment. For continued effectiveness, reapply every three months or every six weeks at a 1/2 rate (after the initial full rate application). Additional applications may be required as the necessity for more frequent irrigation increases. Reapply Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC if reduction in watering is not apparent within the first two weeks.

Hydretain ES Plus Granular OC can be used on all type of plants like turf, trees, flowers, shrubs, fruit and vegetable gardens and agriculture crops, etc. - field grown and containerized.
