Hydretain ES Plus, manufactured by Ecologel Solutions, is a unique surfactant that converts soil moisture into plant usable water droplets, effectively reducing watering, dry spots, and labor for plants.

This biodegradable compound contains hygroscopic and humectant technology plus 10% renewable resource non-Ionic surfactant helping to reduce watering, drought stress, and increase nutrient efficiency for up to 3 months.

Hydretain ES Plus is an excellent root zone moisture management tool that optimizes the use of water in hard-to-penetrate soil, resulting in more vigorous growth of plants and seed germination in varying climates.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Hydretain ES Plus to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). General applications on turf, apply 9 oz. of Hydretain ES Plus per 1,000 sq. ft. or 3 gallons of product per acre. Dilute Hydretain ES Plus at a rate of 2 oz. of product per gallon of water. For maximum effectiveness on trees apply 4 to 8 oz. of concentrate for each inch of trunk diameter. Dilution rate is variable from 50:1 to 300:1. For potted or containerized plants, dilute Hydretain ES Plus at a rate of 2 oz. of product per gallon of water. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
• Step 2: Pour half the amount of water into your selected sprayer, add measured amount of Hydretain ES Plus, then add remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until solution is evenly mixed.
• Step 3: Spray the Hydretain ES Plus mixture to soil or foliage. If the soil is not wet, then water the product in with at least 1/10 inch of water within the first couple of hours to insure Hydretain ES Plus is washed off foliage and into the soil. Within 24 hours, follow with enough additional water to carry Hydretain ES Plus down to and throughout the root zone

Where to Use

Hydretain ES Plus can be used on the soil or foliage of turf, trees, shrubs, individual plants, potted or containerized plants, and large planter and gardens.

When to Use

Apply Hydretain ES Plus to correct or control difficult dry spots, and when you wish to lessen watering practices. This product may also be made prior to overseeding, sodding or sprigging of turf.

Safety Information

Hydretain ES Plus is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Special Considerations

Water thoroughly when re-watering Hydretain ES Plus treated plants. Hydretain ES Plus is biodegradable. For maximum effectiveness reapply every three months or when required watering becomes more frequent. Reapply if a reduction in watering is not apparent within the first two weeks.
