Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS
Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS
Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS, manufactured by VPG, is a ready to use liquid herbicide that uses the active ingredient atrazine 4.00% and related compounds 0.08% to kill various types of emerged weeds and weeds from seeds through foliar or root contact.
As a powerful herbicide, Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS will quickly eliminate or suppress weeds such as chickweed or crabgrass when your St. Augustine or Centipedegrass is in their season of growth or dormancy.
Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS provides fast and superior control over the toughest of post-emergent and pre-emergent weeds with one easy application.
Tools Needed
To apply Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS, you will need a hose to connect it to.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment areas. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). A general application will use 5 tsps. of Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS per 1 quart of water for a 100 sq. ft. For the maximum rate of application on turfgrass, apply 8.6 oz. of product per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. No more than two applications per year can be made. Do not apply one quart of this product to an area less than 3,720 sq. ft
- Step 2: Shake the Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS well before using then connect it to a hose. Turn on water.
- Step 3: To begin spraying, point nozzle in the direction you want to spray. Turn knob clockwise to ON position. Spray evenly to the area to be treated. Refer to the clear view strip on the side of the container to determine the amount of product sprayed. To stop spraying, turn knob counter clockwise to OFF position.
Where to Use
Use Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer RTS on St. Augustinegrass or Centipedegrass within residential lawns.
When to Use
Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is best applied during early spring or dormant periods when weeds are small and have not yet emerged. Rain or water within 2 or 3 days of application may decrease the effectiveness on emerged weeds. However, for the control of weeds from seeds, rainfall or watering is necessary within 7 to 10 days after treatment.
Do not replant treated areas (except with listed turfgrass) within 12 months after treatment or injury may result. Additionally, do not overseed turf areas within 6 months after treatment
Safety Information
Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until sprays have dried.
Special Considerations
Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer can only be used on established St. Augustinegrass or Centipedegrass. Applications to other types of turf may result in damage or death of lawns.
This product may be applied during the summer, but is limited to spot treatment only.
