Heritage TL Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a consistent fungicide that provides the same level of exceptional disease control as its original granular version with exception in its wider window of application methods for lawns or landscapes around commercial and residential buildings.

Offers complete preventative and curative disease control with the active ingredient azoxystrobin 8.8%, which has a chemical structure based on naturally-occuring fungicides.

Heritage TL Fungicide creates a disease-free foliage full of vigor and a lush appearance in an economical and low-risk toxicological way.

Tools Needed

To apply Heritage TL Fungicide, you need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or spray rig. You can also use injection application equipment for soil applications.

Do not apply this product through any irrigation/chemigation system. Do not use silicone based products with this product due to possible phytotoxicity.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Heritage TL Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turfgrass from seed or in overseeding of dormant turfgrass, apply 1-2 fl. oz. of Heritage TL Fungicide in 2-4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For spot treatments in turf, use 1 fl. oz. of product per 1-2 gallons of water.
  • Step 2: To prepare spray solution, partially fill the spray tank with clean water and begin adding the specified amount of Heritage TL Fungicide. Then pour in the remaining amount of water and agitate until the product completely disperses in water. Maintain agitation throughout the spraying operation. If spray-tank mixture is unsprayed for more than 18 hours (overnight), re-suspend product with agitation for 20 minutes.
  • Step 3: The Heritage TL Fungicide mixture should be sprayed to the top and bottom of plant leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Do not apply more than two sequential product applications for gray leaf spot and pythium disease control. For all other diseases when gray leaf spot and pythium diseases are not present, do not apply more than three sequential applications of Heritage TL Fungicide. For soil injection applications, make injection hole spacing of 1 inch by 1 inch is recommended for optimum control. Injection depth should be no greater than 2 inches. One inch depth is recommended for optimum results.

Where to Use

Heritage TL Fungicide can be applied to turf on sod farms, and turf on golf courses, lawns and landscape areas around residential, institutional, public, commercial and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas and athletic fields.

Do not spray this product where spray drift may reach apple trees.

When to Use

Use Heritage TL Fungicide when diseases are present or before they appear on established foliage, typically soil conditions between 55 to 70 degrees favor these conditions. This product may also be used during overseeding of dormant turfgrass. It may also be applied before or after seeding or at seedling germination and emergence to ryegrass, bentgrass, bluegrass, and fescue turfgrass types.

This product has demonstrated some phytotoxic effects when mixed with products that are formulated as EC’s. These effects are enhanced if applications are made under cool, cloudy conditions and these conditions remain for several days following application. In addition, adjuvants that contain some form of silicone have also contributed to phytotoxicity.

Keith's Pro Tips"Some turf disease pathogens are known to have developed resistance to products used repeatedly for their control. Heritage TL Fungicide should be applied at full use rates in a tank mix or alternation program with other registered fungicides that have a different mode of action and to which pathogen resistance has not developed. Since Heritage TL Fungicide is a strobilurin fungicide, avoid alternation with other strobilurins, such as kresoximmethyl and trifloxystrobin."
