Heritage G Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a broad-spectrum granular fungicide that can be used on turfgrass to prevent a wide variety of common lawn diseases.

This fungicide is ideal for applicators who want to provide effective disease control without using a liquid fungicide or when weather conditions prevent spraying. Heritage G works to control over 21 common turf diseases for up to 28 days.

Tools Needed

You will need either a push spreader or a handheld spreader.

How to Use

Spreading Heritage G Granules

  • Step 1: Determine how much Heritage G Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the treatment areas' length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). Heritage G Granules are applied at a rate of 2 to 4 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. For example, if you measure a 3,000 sq. ft. area, you will need 6 to 12 lbs. of granules to cover the entire lawn.
  • Step 2: Load Heritage G granules into a spreader of your choosing at the appropriate rate for the disease you are trying to control. The use rate varies depending on the disease being treated. Check out the label for complete use rates.
  • Step 3: Once your spreader is calibrated correctly, push it along the turf, making sure to get an even spread. You may need to do two passes around the treated area perpendicularly to get complete even coverage.
  • Step 4: Reapply as needed every 28 days, depending on the disease and its severity or for continued disease control.

Where to Use

Heritage G Fungicide can be used on residential and commercial turf, athletic fields, and other areas with fungal disease problems.

When to Use

Apply upon first seeing a fungus or disease on your plants or as a preventative measure against disease during the growing season.

Safety Information

Heritage G Granules is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.

After treatment, keep pets and children away from the treated area until the product is dried.

Special Considerations

Heritage G may be applied with all types of spreader equipment commonly used for making ground applications. Proper adjustments and calibration of application equipment to give good coverage is essential for good disease control.

  6. Q:When is best time to apply , early summer, mid or late?
    7/28/18
A:For fungal control, if you are in a high pressure area then you would want to apply mid spring when grass is out of dormancy. This would be considered a preventative application. Begin applications when conditions are favorable for disease infection, prior to disease symptom development. Under high disease pressure, use higher rates of Heritage and shorter intervals Heritage G is a broad-spectrum, preventative fungicide with systemic and curative properties recommended for the control of many important turf diseases. All applications should be made according to the use directions found on the label.

Refer to Granular Spreader Settings table for spreader settings to deliver the rate required. • Uniform coverage is necessary to provide the most effective level of control. • Heritage G can be applied after seeding or at seed germination. • Use the shorter re-treatment intervals and higher application rates when prolonged favorable disease conditions exist. Yes, it will need to be watered in to activate the product.
