Hertiage Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a professional preventative and curative fungicide for a wide array of turf and ornamental diseases around residential, public, and commercial buildings.

Since this product is strobilurin fungicide it will controls difficult foliar, stem, and root diseases like mildews and molds by simply being absorbed into the leaves and sheaths while also moving from the soil into the roots. Attacks harmful diseases both above and below the soil for up to 28 days, providing complete plant protection.

Heritage Fungicide is a versatile water dispersible granule fungicide that contains multiple formulation options as either a liquid or dry sprayable application to settle various mixing preferences of applicators. Delivers preventative and curative control at every stage of the pathogens life cycle without compromising the plant.

Tools Needed

To apply Heritage Fungicide, you will need to use a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, spray rig, injector equipment, or chemigation system.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Heritage Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). To make spot applications in turf, apply 0.2 oz. of Heritage Fungicide per 1 to 2 gallons of water. Depending on the diseases, use between 0.2 to 0.7 oz. of product in 2-4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of turf. For ornamentals, use 1-4 oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. To treat soil borne disease on ornamentals, apply 0.2 to 0.9 oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: To prepare spray solution, partially fill the spray tank with clean water. Add the specified amount of Heritage Fungicide to the tank, allowing time for good dispersion, then add an adjuvant, if recommended. Finish filling the tank with the remaining amount of water and agitate the tank until the product is mixed.
  • Step 3: Make applications as a fine spray pattern to the entire plant including the underside of its leaves for foliar applications and to the area around the plant for soil applications. Spray to the point of wet, but not runoff. Depending on the disease and site, you will reapply every 7-28 days. 1/4” to 1/2” of irrigation directly after application is recommended for spring dead spot control in turf.

Where to Use

Heritage Fungicide can be used on turf for golf courses, lawns and landscape areas around residential, institutional, public, commercial and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas and athletic fields. Certain container, bench, flat, plug, bed or field-grown ornamentals in greenhouses, shade-houses, outdoor nurseries, retail nurseries, and other landscape areas may also be treated with this product.

This product is extremely phytotoxic to certain apple varieties.

When to Use

Apply Heritage Fungicide when disease symptoms are present on foliage or before they appear. This product may also be used during overseeding of dormant turfgrass.

It may also be safely applied before or after seeding or at seedling germination and emergence to ryegrass, bentgrass, bluegrass, and fescue turfgrass types.

Do not plant the following crops for a period of 12 months (unless an azoxystrobin product is registered for use on that crop): sorghum, barley, buckwheat, millet, oats, rye, wild rice, non-grass animal feeds (alfalfa, clover), sugarcane, triticale and wheat. A plantback interval (PBI) of 36 days is required for Leafy Vegetables (Except Brassica) group; Brassica, Leafy Greens subgroup; Vegetables, Root subgroup; Vegetable (Tuberous and Corm) subgroup; and Vegetables, Leaves of Root and Tuber group
