Grass Out Max Herbicide
Grass Out Max Herbicide
Grass Out Max by Agrisel is a powerful, selective herbicide that will target and kill grasses and grassy weeds while leaving flowers, shrubs, and broadleaf vegetation unharmed. Grass Out Max has a broad label, offering flexibility and allowing users to kill over 50 grasses in many treatment areas.
The main purpose of Grass Out Max is to kill annual and perennial grasses where you do not want them, such as in ornamental landscape beds, around trees, and even around broadleaf crops. This is beneficial because grasses and grassy weeds will compete with crops or other desirable vegetation. Grass Out Max will help you eliminate grasses while keeping your flowers, shrubs, or crops safe.
Grass Out Max is formulated with the active ingredient Clethodim, which will reduce grass growth and lead to eventual death of the targeted grassy vegetation. Symptoms may be seen in as little as a week.
Tools Needed
To use Grass Out Max, you will need to to use either a handheld sprayer, hose end sprayer, or a spray rig. Grass Out Max is intended for large volume applications, so you may need a high output hose end sprayer or professional spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Grass Out Max you need by measuring the treatment area in square feet or acreage. Do this by measuring the length and width, and the multiplying them together (length x width = square feet.) To find acreage, take your square feet and divide by 43,560. Mix rates will vary depending on the targeted weed and the treatment area, but most applications will be 4 to 16 fluid ounces per acre. Spot treatments made be made at a rate of 0.33 to 0.65 oz. per gallon of water. Refer to the label to get the exact labelled rate for your weed and treatment area.
- Step 2: Mix Grass Out Max in a sprayer by filling your sprayer halfway with water, add the proper amount of Grass Out Max, and then fill the sprayer the rest of the way with water and mix thoroughly. If using Grass Out Max with a tank partner or surfactant, add the additional product, and then fill the rest of the way with water.
- Step 3: Apply Grass Out Max evenly over the treatment area, being sure to adequately spray the targeted grasses. Spray to the point of wet, not runoff. Depending on the grass' height, you may need to mow the grass down to a height of 1-8 inches tall. Re-application may be necessary after several weeks, but this will vary depending on the grass and application site. Refer to the label for proper application intervals.
Where to Use
Grass Out Max Herbicide is for use on broadleaf croplands, rights-of-ways including railroads, highways, roads, dividers, medians, pipelines, public utility lines, pumping stations, transformer stations and substations; around airports, electric utilities, commercial buildings, manufacturing plants, storage yards, rail yards, fence lines, parkways, post-harvest croplands, beneath greenhouse benches and around golfcourses.
When to Use
Use Grass Out Max on calm days when wind speeds are low to minimize drift. For best results, apply Grass Out Max to actively growing weeds and grasses that are at a suitable height. Apply when rain is not in the immediate forecast for at least 1 hour. For dry areas, apply Grass Out Max immediately after irrigation or within 7 days.
Safety Information
Grass Out Max is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to label directions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and keep all people and animals off the treated areas until dry.
Special Considerations
The application rate can vary not only depending on which grass you are targeted, but also the application site. Be sure to read the label carefully when applying to broadleaf cropland for specific application rates.
