Gentrol Complete EC3

Gentrol Complete EC3, manufactured by Zoecon, is a liquid broad-spectrum insecticide that provides a unique form of control of flying and products pests like cockroaches or confused flour beetles from the inside of buildings and structures.

This effective formulation provides a dual-action formula as an insect growth regulator (IGR) to disrupt pests' development stages before they reach sexual maturity and kill some pests during the pupal stage, leading to residual control of future generations.

Gentrol Complete EC3 is an easy-to-use product that lasts for up to 21 days after application, which helps to minimize the amount of indoor applications needed.

Tools Needed

As a general surface treatment, it will need to be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, power-operated application equipment, Micro-Injector, Actisol applicator, paintbrush, or other porous applicator attached to a handle.

We recommend using a handheld pump sprayer for easier control of spot applications and treatment of small areas.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Gentrol Complete EC3 to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For light applications or maintenance, apply 1.3 oz. of Gentrol Complete EC3 per gallon of water per 800 to 1,600 sq. ft. For severe infestations, mix 5.2 oz. of product per gallon of water per 800 to 1,600 sq. ft. Amount of concentrate is dependent upon pest species, infestation level, and service interval required. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
• Step 2: Fill the applicator tank halfway with water, add a measured amount of Gentrol Complete EC3, and then fill with the remaining half of the water. Close and shake before use to ensure proper mixing.
• Step 3: Treat cracks and crevices with a coarse pressure spray until wet but not to the point of run-off. Adjust the spray nozzle to a low-pressure spray for spot and general surface treatments. If needed, reapply 21 days after the first application.

Where to Use

Gentrol Complete EC3 may be used on the inside of buildings, structures, modes of transportation, inside homes, apartment buildings, private residences, schools, stores, the food and non-food/feed areas of restaurants, food servicing areas, food handling and manufacturing establishments, hotels, motels, office buildings, stores, warehouses, nursing homes, hospitals, grocery stores, industrial buildings, laboratories, mausoleums, and on vessels, rail cars, buses, trucks, trailers, and recreational vehicles.

Other areas that this product may be used in our closets, furniture, dining rooms, aircraft (cargo and other non-cabin areas only), schools, food granaries, food grain mills, ant trails around doors and windows, baseboards, corners, around pipes, in and behind cabinets, behind and under refrigerators, sinks, furnaces, stoves, cracks, and crevices, behind bed frames and headboards, loose plaster, beneath beds and furniture, bed springs, bed frames, storage areas, attics, and eaves, underside of shelves and drawers, walls, ceiling, and window screens.

For places other than private residences in which exposed food is held, processed, prepared, or served, including areas for receiving, storage, packing (canning, bottling, wrapping, boxing), preparing foods, and enclosed processing systems (mills, diaries, edible oils, syrups) and serving areas.

Do not apply in aircraft cabins, furniture surfaces, or mattresses where people will be laying and bedding.

When to Use

Use Gentrol Complete EC3 when the food facility or area is not in operation and inhabited, food is covered or removed, and utensils and shelf paper are removed. Apply this product in calm weather when rainfall is not predicted for the next 24 hours and when the area has been fully secured, as listed on the product label.

This product may be applied in late summer, early fall, and winter since these are the most active periods for pests to invade or emerge inside structures.

Safety Information

Gentrol Complete EC3 is safe to use around children or pets when used according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or spraying this product.

Clean food-contact surfaces and equipment with an effective cleaning compound, rinsing with potable water before use. Let treated surfaces dry before allowing humans and pets to touch them.

Take extreme care that the product is not introduced into the air. Do not apply directly to food or allow applications to contaminate food.

Do not apply this product in any room being used as a living, eating, sleeping, or recovery area by patients, the elderly, or the infirm when they are in the room. This also applies to classrooms and institutions (including libraries, sports facilities, etc.) in the immediate area when occupants are present or in use.

Special Considerations

Gentrol Complete EC3 may only be applied as a general surface, crack, crevice, or spot treatment in buildings or structures.
