Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide
Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide
Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide, manufactured by Bonide, is a easy to use product that readily mixes with water for your flowers and shrubs against the toughest of plant diseases like rusts or scab.
To control multiple fungal diseases, this product contains Chlorothalonil 29.60%, which is an organic compound that prevents damage to plants by inhibiting certain fungi enzymes leading to death of disease.
Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide is an all purpose product that not only controls numerous plant diseases, but also can be used when plant diseases have become resistant to other fungicides.
Tools Needed
To use Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide, you can use a tank type manually operated or power sprayer like a backpack sprayer or pump sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine where to apply Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide, the foliage to be treated, and the disease as this will decide how much product to use. Another factor that will determine how much product to use is the square footage of the treatment site. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together together (length X width = square footage). Refer to the label for specific rates and retreatment intervals for afflicted foliage. Garden vegetable diseases should use the listed amount of Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide per gallon of water per 200 sq. ft. of crop. Ornamental garden plants will mix between 2.25 to 3 tbs. of product per 4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of garden area. Do not apply more than a total of 37 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per growing season on field-grown ornamentals. Fruit and nut trees diseases apply enough listed product per 4 gallons of water per 200 sq. ft. Conifer diseases should be applied at the listed rate per 4 gallons of water per 200 sq. ft. Do not apply more than 16 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per year on field-grown conifers.
- Step 2: In your selected sprayer, add half the required amount of water, then fill with the measured amount of Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide, and pour in the remaining half of water. Close the lid to sprayer and shake until solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Apply the mixed Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide above the afflicted foliage on a fan-spray setting to coat the top and bottom of the plant leaves until evenly coated, but not to the point of run-off. Allow the product to fully dry on treated foliage before you water your plants and to refer to the label for reapplication intervals for specific foliage.
Where to Use
Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide may be used on garden vegetables such as bean (snap), beans (dry), cabbage, Chinese cabbage (tight-headed varieties only), cauliflower, broccoli, Chinese broccoli, brussels sprouts, carrot, celery, corn (sweet), cucurbits, cucumber, cantaloupe, muskmelon, honeydew melon, watermelon, squash, pumpkin, onion (dry bulb), garlic, onion (green bunching), Leek, shallot, Parsnip, Potato, Tomato. This product may also be applied to ornamental garden plants, broadleaf shrub and trees, flowering plants and bulbs, foliage plants, fruit and nut trees, nursery beds, and in greenhouses.
Do not use on home lawns and turf sites near apartment buildings, daycare centers, playgrounds, recreational parks, athletic fields, athletic fields located on or next to schools (ie. elementary, middle and high schools), campgrounds, churches, theme parks, forests, plants grown for sale or other commercial use, commercial seed production, or for research purposes.
When to Use
Use Fung-onil Multi Purpose Fungicide when plants are not in bloom, typically this will be during the cloudy or wet weather season of your region. Begin applications when disease first appears on your foliage and what plants are actively growing.
Avoid spraying plants during extremely hot and sunny weather, wilted plants, and when transplanted plants are newly planted.
