Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a speciality broad-spectrum fungicide that prevents common turf diseases such as brown patch on golf course, industrial, and municipal turf areas.

Formulated as a wettable powder in water-soluble packets, this pre-measured fungicide readily mixes with water eliminating labor and application timing.

Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide is a professional grade fungicide that not only provides the most cost-effective disease control, but also protects against various diseases without being easily washed-off and aids in redistribution in wet weather.

Tools Needed

To apply Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide, you will need to use either a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or hose-end sprayer. A spray rig can be used in large volume applications.

This product is compatible with surfactants, boron and spray oils; however, the water soluble packets must be completely dissolved before adding spray oils or products containing boron to spray mixtures.

Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For cool season turfgrasses; greens, tees and aprons - limit to a maximum of five applications per year at a maximum application rate of 21.75 lb. of Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide in 100 gallons of water per acre per application. For cool season turfgrasses; fairways - limit to a maximum of four applications per year at a maximum application rate of 21.75 lb. of product in 100 gallons of water per acre per application. For warm season turfgrasses; fairways - limit to a maximum of three applications per year at a maximum application rate of 21.75 lb. of product in 100 gallons of water per acre per application. For warm season turfgrasses; greens, tees and aprons - limit to a maximum of four applications per year at a maximum application rate of 21.75 lb. of product in 100 gallons of water per acre per application. Depending on the diseases on assorted grasses, you will use between 4 to 8 oz. of product in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Note that the 8 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. rate is the same as the maximum rate of 21.75 lb. per acre. For outdoor or greenhouse use, apply 1 1/2 lb. of product in 100 gallons of water per acre.
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of required water. Place unopened Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide into the tank. Allow the packets to completely dissolve, which could take up to 5 minutes before adding the remaining half of water. When completely dissolved, pour in the remaining half of water and agitate the tank until solution is completely mixed. Do not spray water from a hose or fill pipe to break or dissolve the packets allow it to dissolve naturally in water.
• Step 3: Spray the Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide mixture to the top and bottom of leaves, directly into flowers, on flower buds and spikes, and the ground underneath bushes until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Do not treat plants greater than 4 feet above the crop canopy. If needed, retreat turf and ornamentals when 10 days have passed after last application.

Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide can be used on turfgrass on golf courses, and industrial or municipal turf areas.

Do not use on pachysandra.

Not for use on sod farms, athletic fields, residential turf, grasses grown for seed, turfgrasses intended for grazing (such as range or pasture grasses), or in residential greenhouses.

When to Use

Start application of Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide when grass greens up in spring or when disease first appears and repeat at 10- to 14-day intervals or until disease threat is passed. When conditions are especially favorable for disease development, apply maximum fungicide use rate on a 10-day spray schedule.

Begin spraying ornamentals when plants are well leafed out or at first sign of disease in a full coverage spray at 7- to 10-day intervals throughout the season.

Safety Information

Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not graze treated areas or feed grass clippings to livestock.

Do not allow people or pets enter treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.

Fore 80WP Rainshield Specialty Fungicide is a protectant fungicide, meaning it mainly protects plants from diseases and controls minor disease outbreaks.
