Piston Pump Skid Spray Rig- 50 Gal, Low Profile, MSD41, 300' Hose
The Solutions Piston Pump Skid Spray Rig is a professional spray rig that provides a high volume and high-pressure spray. Featuring a Maruyama MSD41 Piston Pump, it is rated to output up to 8 gallons per minute at 570 psi. It is great for spraying trees, turf, and other large areas. It comes with a hose reel, 300' of hose, and a quick disconnect. Rig measures 44" long x 40"(+6" handle) wide x 21" tall.
The Piston Pump Skid Sprayer, manufactured by Solutions Pest and Lawn, comes with a Maruyama MDS41 piston pump, a 6.5HP 212cc OHV horizontal engine, a manual reel, 300 feet of 3/8-inch hose, and a 50-gallon low-profile tank. All components sit on a lightweight but durable aluminum frame that will never rust and is welded at every seam.
This piston pump spray rig provides a max flow of 8 gallons per minute with a max pressure of 570 pounds per square inch and has a pressure regulator to regulate the pressure going to the hose reel. The 6.5HP 212cc OHV horizontal engine has lower noise levels, vibration, and emissions without sacrificing power. The manual Hannay reel is built with a heavy-gauge, powder-coated steel frame and will hold up to 300 feet of 3/8-inch hose that can withstand 600 psi working pressure.
The 50-gallon low-profile tank featured on the rig prevents the rig from blocking the rear view of the vehicle it is held in. The main component parts are covered by their manufacturer with a 1-year parts warranty and a 100% guarantee (excluding plumbing).
Tools Needed
A spray gun is needed to operate the Piston Pump Skid Sprayer. (Gun Sold Separately)
How to Use
- Step 1: Before starting the rig, relieve any pressure going to the spray hose. Set the pressure regulator to the START position.
- Step 2: Close the pump's ball cock valve so that pressure will go back to the tank for agitation and allows zero restriction when starting the engine.
- Step 3: Start the engine by moving the fuel lever to the On position. Choke the engine by pushing the choke lever to the Closed position. Move the engine's throttle lever to about 1/3 of the way toward the MAX setting. Flip the red engine switch to the On position, and then pull the starter rope. If the choke lever was set to the Closed position, gradually move the lever to the OPEN position as the engine warms up. If restarting a warm engine, leave the lever in the OPEN position.
- Step 4: Once the engine runs, let it idle for about 15 seconds before putting it into a regular run. If there is a product in the tank, it should be circulating. When you are ready to spray, set the regulator on the pump to the desired pressure, open the ball cock valve, and begin.
- Step 5: Once you're finished spraying, relieve pressure by going to the hose reel. Close the ball cock valve and set the pressure regulator back to the START position, getting the pressure gauge as close to zero as you can. Then, turn off the rig by moving the engine's throttle lever back to the MIN position, turning the engine switch to the OFF position, and then moving the fuel lever to the OFF position.
Where to Use
The Piston Pump Skid Sprayer is excellent for reaching surface areas from a distance around residential, commercial, and industrial sites. It can be used on golf courses, parks, crops, and other areas that require a sprayer to provide high volume and pressure.
When to Use
This rig can be used to apply insecticides, fertilizer, fungicides, and herbicides as a preventative or treatment program. Due to its superior pressure output, it is great for treating elevated places, like trees and the sides of homes or buildings.
Safety Information
When using the Piston Pump Low Profile Skid Sprayer, be cautious of the amount of pressure applied when spraying surface areas like siding, sidewalks, and other areas at close range. Always wear the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying products.
Special Considerations
The Piston Pump Skid Sprayer's MSD41 pump is a true workhorse, but it requires regular inspection. After the initial operation, the crankcase oil needs to be replaced every 50 hours.
Please note: Each of our rigs receives a thorough multi-point inspection, which includes testing the rig with water to ensure the pump works properly and the rig reaches the designated pressure. Because of this, your rig may have a some moisture leftover in the lines.
Depending on which one we have in stock, the hose may be green, lime green, red, or yellow.
