The Flowzone Typhoon 3 Backpack Sprayer, manufactured by Flowzone, is a battery-powered sprayer with a 4-gallon capacity. It is unique from other electric sprayers in that it relies on suction as opposed to pressure to spray the chemical. The sprayer runs on a rechargeable 18v Lithium-ion battery that allows for over 2 hours of continuous operation.
This easy to use sprayer comes equipped with a stainless steel wand and and heavy-duty hose. Unlike traditional pump sprayers, no liquid is released upon opening a FlowZone tank so using and maintaining the sprayer is simplified.
The Flowzone Typhoon 3 Backpack sprayer id capable of a 115 psi output with a flow rate of 0.42/1.12 GPM and a spray distance of up to 30 feet. We highly recommend this sprayer if you want a better way to apply fertilizer, use pesticides, control weeds or even wash your car.
Tools Needed
To use the Flowzone Typhoon 3 Backpack Sprayer we recommend wearing PPE gear such as protective clothing, safety gloves, glasses for eye protection, and a respirator when spraying chemicals.
How To Use
- Step 1: To assemble, take off the tank lid (1). Remove the nuts and bolts (6), holsters (4, 5) and nozzles (13, 14, 15) from the tank strainer (3). Set aside.
- Step 2: Bring the ComfortStraps™ (11) to the bottom of the tank. Secure the lower strap clips to the loops at the bottom of the tank.
- Step 3: Next, slide the adjustable strap through the top tank loop. Continue by sliding the strap under and over the buckle fitting. Lightly tug to make sure the strap is secure. Repeat on other side. If the shoulder straps arrive detached, attach the bottom to the adjustable buckle using the same method as before.
- Step 4: Slide the top wand holster onto protruding holster mount on the sprayer tank. Insert a nut on one side of the hexagonal slot on the bottom of the holster and screw the bolt through the other side using a Phillip’s head screwdriver until the bolt fastens into the nut. Repeat for the bottom holster/slot.
- Step 5: Take the spray gun (10) and attach it to the threaded fitting on the end of the hose (12). Tighten the fitting to ensure the gasket properly seals the connection.
- Step 6: If spraying with the stainless steel spray wand (9), pull back on the collar of the quick-connect fitting on the spray gun and and insert the male end of the spray wand. Push the collar of the quick-connect back into its original position to secure the spray wand inside .
Where to Use
The Flowzone Typhoon 3 Backpack Sprayer is designed for outdoor use of spraying pesticides or herbicides around your home and lawn. You can also use it to water your car, de-icing and removing snow and other approved uses.
When to Use
Use the Flowzone Typhoon 3 Backpack Sprayer when you have a larger than normal spraying, or have a large lawn that you want to control weeds on. It's lightweight and high powered efficiency makes the spraying process convenient.

However, Flowzone Typhoon 2.5V - 4 Gallon Electric Backpack Sprayer runs off a a 18V Lithium-ion battery, but it does have a high-pressure diaphragm pump.
