Finale XL T&O Herbicide

Finale XL T&O Herbicide, manufactured by BASF, is a non-selective broad-spectrum herbicide that works quickly and efficiently to control a wide range of stubborn weeds such as grasses (annual/perennial), woody species, sedges, and broadleaf species.

This post-emergent herbicide controls and suppresses many broadleaf weeds with pinpoint accuracy, delivering fast control at a much lower application rate. 

Convenient and compatible, Finale XL T&O mixes well with many popular herbicides. Once applied, this product becomes rainfast in as little as 30 minutes. 

Tools Needed

You will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hydraulic sprayer, or ground equipment. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Finale XL T&O Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To find the square footage, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For spot applications on commercial, residential, and industrial lawns, use 1.7 fl. oz. of Finale XL T&O per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. 
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the required amount of water, then add the appropriate amount of Finale XL T&O. Fill the sprayer with the remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and agitate the sprayer until the solution is well-mixed.
• Step 3: Apply the Finale XL T&O solution to the desired area via the fan spray setting for uniform coverage. Spray generously but not to the point of runoff. 

Where to Use

Apply Finale XL T&O to golf courses, native grass areas, dormant Bermudagrass, ornamental production nurseries (including greenhouses, lath houses, shade houses), commercial landscaping and lawns, residential landscaping and lawns, industrial landscaping and lawns, Christmas trees, and vegetation management in noncropland areas.  

This product may be used for trimming (including side) and edging commercial and/or residential landscape areas, including around individual trees and shrubs, landscape beds, mulched areas, home foundations, garages, buildings, fences, driveways, parking areas, sidewalks, yard ornaments, mailboxes, light posts, walking paths, patios, and industrial landscapes and landscaped highway medians, interchanges, embankments, and buffer areas where perennial plants are established. 

It may be applied around nonbearing fruit and nut trees, vines, and bushberries grown in commercial, residential, or industrial areas. Immature and/or inedible fruits may appear and are not intended for harvest or consumption.

When to Use

This product works best when weeds are young and actively growing. If weeds are experiencing stress, such as drought or cool temperatures, you may need to apply a higher dosage to get them to die out.

Apply to Bermudagrass lawns when the weather is cool, and Bermudagrass is dormant. Do not apply Finale XL T&O to actively growing turfgrass, or severe injury or plant death will occur.

Safety Information

Finale XL T&O Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Do not allow people or pets to enter treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application. 

Special Considerations

Finale XL T&O Herbicide is nonselective and will injure or kill all green vegetation contacted by the spray. Avoid all contact with foliage or green tissue of desirable vegetation.
