Essentria Mosquito & Tick Concentrate

Essentria Mosquito & Tick Concentrate, manufactured by Zoecon, is a water-based insecticide that provides safe control over pests like lesser house flies and ticks without leaving offensive odors and harmful toxins. 

This plant-based essential oil insecticide contains natural ingredients such as geraniol, cinnamon oil, corn mint oil, and more to kill pests and create a 14-day residual. 

Essentria Mosquito & Tick Concentrate offers eco-friendly pest control in and around sites where other pesticides cannot usually be used, such as schools, stables, and other residential sites. 

Tools Needed

You will need a power sprayer, compressed air sprayer, mist sprayer, automatic spraying systems, mist blowers, automated spray systems, or other related application technologies.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Essentria Mosquito & Tick Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To find the square footage, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). A general application will use 1-8 fl. oz. of Essentria Mosquito & Tick Concentrate per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Apply final dilution at 2 gallons per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
• Step 3: Thoroughly spray areas where these insects are usually found with special attention to cracks and crevices, niches, dark corners, drains and other harborage sites. For perimeter applications, apply to a band of soil and vegetation 6 to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to buildings. Treat the building foundation to a height of 2 to 3 feet with sufficient water for coverage. Repeat as necessary or at least every 14 days. 

Where to Use

Essentria Mosquito & Tick Concentrate can be used indoors and outdoors. 

Indoor sites: Includes, but is not limited to, areas such as where mosquitoes may rest or harbor, and not limited to, homes, apartments, restaurants, food processing facilities, carports, sheds, shelters, canopies, garages, schools, commercial buildings, warehouses, public spaces/venues, barns, boat houses, dairy facilities, drains and sewers, greenhouses, hog barns, kennels, lathe houses, livestock facilities, loading docks, mink farms, poultry houses, schools, stables, and zoos.

Outdoor sites: Includes, but is not limited to, treating around areas such as shrubbery, ground cover or other heavy vegetation areas, including under porches/decks and awnings where mosquitoes may rest or harbor, and not limited to around homes, play structures, carports, patios, schools, commercial buildings, warehouses, outdoor dining areas, public spaces/venues, barns, boat houses, boat docks, building foundations, dairy facilities, drains and sewers, drive-in restaurants, drive-in theaters, feed lots, fence lines, golf courses, greenhouses, hog barns, kennels, landscape areas, lawns, lathe houses, livestock facilities, loading docks, marinas, mink farms, outdoor food service, parks, playgrounds, poultry houses, recreational areas, schools, stables, trees, turf, urban areas, and zoos. 

Not for aquatic use. 

When to Use

Apply when pest activity has been noticed, and the treatment area can be vacated for some time. 

Safety Information

Essentria Mosquito & Tick Concentrate is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not fog or mist when people, pets, or food are present. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact individuals either directly or through drift.

Special Considerations

For sensitive surfaces such as vinyl, plastic, fabric, wood floors, etc., test a small non-visible area first before spraying. This includes vinyl siding, outdoor furniture, storm doors, windows, etc. It is possible that Essentria Mosquito & Tick Concentrate may mar some sensitive surfaces. Cover or avoid sensitive surfaces. If the spray gets on any sensitive surfaces, rinse with water and wipe off with a clean cloth.

Use care, and do not spray on sensitive plants. If not sure, test spray a few leaves 2 days before spraying the entire plant. Exceeding rates may create potential phytotoxicity on turf and vegetation surfaces.
