Encartis Fungicide
Encartis Fungicide
Encartis Fungicide, manufactured by BASF, is a unique fungicide that gives powerful, long-lasting control of turf diseases like leaf spot for up to 28 days and helps maintain a healthier, disease-free playing golf course surface.
This effective dual-action suspension concentrate fungicide provides up to two modes of action to break the risk of resistance development.
Encartis Fungicide contains a strong preventative defense and fast curative activity against 11 diseases on multiple areas of the golf course.
Tools Needed
Encartis Fungicide may be applied with a backpack sprayer or spray rig for acreage treatments.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Encartis Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 4 fl. oz. of Encartis Fungicide with 1-4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of turf. For larger treatments, use 10.9 pints of product in 174 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 2 sequential applications of this product, then alternate to another effective fungicide before reapplying Encartis Fungicide.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Encartis Fungicide, then pour in remaining half of water. If using backpack sprayer, shake the tank until solution is well-mixed. For spray rigs, stir the contents in the tank or spray to mix the product.
- Step 3: Adjust the sprayer on a coarse-spray pattern, then apply the mixed Encartis Fungicide solution to the top and bottom of turf until wet, but not to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
Encartis Fungicide can be used on golf course turfgrass only.
Do not apply this product to turf for transplant purposes except for sod produced for golf course establishment or renovation.
When to Use
Apply Encartis Fungicide to dry turfgrass before disease activity begins or in its early stages.
Safety Information
Encartis Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets enter treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Encartis Fungicide cannot be applied back to back during treatments. You can only spray once with this product, then use another fungicide. If disease activity continues, then you may spray Encartis Fungicide again.
