E-Pro Insecticide

E-Pro Insecticide, manufactured by Zoecon, is a pyrethrum based insecticide used to protect livestock from mosquitoes, stable flies and other insect infestations.

E-Pro carries a broad label and is also good for controlling beetles, ticks, cockroaches and insects that frequent agricultural areas. Because it's made from pyrethrins, it is safer to use than most pesticides and is versatile in its use.

Tools Needed

E-Pro is to be diluted with water in a handheld pump or backpack sprayer. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much E-Pro Insecticide to use by measuring the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For indoor agricultural structure treatment with sprayers use 4 fl. oz. of E-Pro Insecticide with 12.5 gallons of water (1 gallon will treat 750 square feet of surface). For fog and mist application in agricultural structures, apply 1.5 to 2.0 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water (2 fl. oz. will treat 1,000 cubic feet of surface). Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is mixed.
• Step 3: Spray directly or apply by spot treatment to walls and ceiling as a residual surface treatment only. Do not treat manure or litter. Avoid contamination of feed and water.

E-Pro can be used in Barns, Dairies, Feedlots, Poultry Houses, Stables, Swine and Livestock Premises.

It can also be used on Beef Cattle and Sheep, Lactating and Non-Lactating Dairy Cattle and Goats, Poultry, Swine and Horses.

When to Use

Use when you first notice pests.

Safety Information

E-Pro Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not allow people or pets on treated surfaces until the spray has dried. 

Special Considerations

When applying to or around vinyl and aluminum siding, treat a small test area in a non-obtrusive area and allow to dry. Some types of vinyl and aluminum siding, particularly if aged or weathered or during periods of high temperature or high humidity, may show some staining after application of an emulsifiable concentrate product.

Staining may also occur on certain surfaces such as brick, cinder block, stucco and wood. Immediately remove spray deposits on painted or stained surfaces or finishes by washing with soap and water to prevent discoloration. Do not apply to surface where visible spray residues are objectionable.
