DuraCor Herbicide
DuraCor Herbicide
DuraCor herbicide is a powerful broad-spectrum herbicide that maximizes range and pasture lands grazing for livestock producers and land mangers.
DuraCor Herbicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a effective herbicide that keeps pastures clean, forage grasses growing and cattle gaining weight due to greater forage.
The combination of two reduced risk herbicides creates a non-volatile solution for over 140 types of present and future weed species.
DuraCor Herbicide is a low-odor pre- and post-emergent herbicide that is safe to use on grass while also increasing high-quality forage.
Tools Needed
DuraCor Herbicide can be applied with a backpack sprayer or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much DuraCor Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). General spot applications will use 1.8 fl. oz. of DuraCor Herbicide per 3 gallons of water. Refer the label for specific application rate.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of DuraCor Herbicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure thorough coverage of the weeds while minimizing drift.
Where to Use
DuraCor Herbicide can be used for rangelands, permanent grass pastures (including annual and perennial grasses grown for hay*), Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) acres, and wildlife management areas including seasonally dry flood plains, deltas, marshes, prairie potholes, or vernal pools in these sites.
When to Use
Apply DuraCor Herbicide when weeds are less than 2 inches tall during the early spring to early fall.
Do not make applications when rainfall is expected for the next 24 hours after application.
Safety Information
DuraCor Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until 48 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Hay from grass treated with DuraCor Herbicide within the preceding 18 months can only be used on the farm or ranch where the product is applied unless allowed by supplemental labeling.
