Drexel Diuron 4L Herbicide
Drexel Diuron 4L Herbicide
Drexel Diuron 4L Herbicide, manufactured by Drexel, is an effective selective herbicide formulated to target various herbaceous weeds and annual and perennial grasses in fruit and nut crops and ornamental crops.
The suspended concentrate offers both contact weed control for unwanted vegetation in hard-to-reach treatment areas and residual control prior to planting new crops.
Drexel Diuron 4L herbicide flexibility can further be seen with its ability to be used at different points throughout the year, offering a wider range of post- and pre-emergent control.
Tools Needed
To use Drexel Diuron 4L Herbicide, you will need a professional spray rig, boom power sprayer, or hooded/shielded sprayers.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Drexel Diuron 4L Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To find acreage, divide the square footage by one acre (square footage / 43,560 = acreage). Depending on the crop, the application rates will vary. To treat weeds in non-crop areas such as farm yards, fence rows, and around industrial plant sites, apply 4 to 12 quarts of Drexel Diuron 4L Herbicide in 100 gallons of water per acre. For weeds in ornamental bulb crops, make a single application of 3.2 quarts of product in 100 gallons of water per acre. To treat weeds around plumosus fern, you will need to hand weed and mow fern first then make a single application of 2.4 quarts of product in 25 gallons of water per acre within 3 to 5 days. To treat alfalfa field crops, apply 1.2 to 2.4 quarts of product in 25 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half of the required amount of water, then add the measured amount of Drexel Diuron 4L Herbicide to the tank. Fill the tank the rest of the way with remaining water then close and agitate the tank.
- Step 3: Adjust the sprayer to a fan spray setting, then spray Drexel Diuron 4L Herbicide mixture until the top and bottom of weeds are evenly coated.

Q:Good evening. I'm curious why the product can be used on grasses such has Kentucky Blue Grass but it is not to be used on residential lawns?6/30/23A:Per the product label "Do not use on home plantings of trees, shrubs or herbaceous plants, nor on lawns, walks, driveways, tennis courts or similar areas" meaning residential lawns cannot be treated. Your question is best asked towards the manufacturer, DREXEL, as it could be a multitude of reasons that only they would know. Their phone number is (901) 774-4370 . However, you can also contact one of our team members for appropriate herbicide recommendations to treat the particular weed infestation you are dealing with. 800-479-6583
