Drain Gel Fly Killer
Drain Gel Fly Killer
Drain Gel Fly Killer, manufactured by American Bio Systems, is a concentrated bacterial gel used to clean out grease, grime, and other organic debris from drains or off of heavy equipment in order to control drain flies.
Unlike other cleaning agents, Drain Gel does not push the grease further down the pipes to cause problems later. Instead, Drain Gel eats away the grease with its properiety formula containg over 550 billion cells and includes a microbial grease degrader. Drain flies and gnats live and breed in drains compacted with waste, so when Drain Gel Fly Killer removes their habitat, it also gets rid of them.
Drain Gel Fly Killer is easy to use just simply pour into drains or spray underneath heavy duty equipment and other non-drain areas for a quick and effective removal of foul odors and grease.
Tools needed:
There are no tools needed for applying Drain Gel Fly Killer.
How to use:
- Step 1: Prepare the drain for the application but running 1 to 2 gallons of warm water down the drain.
- Step 2: Apply 4 oz of Drain Gel Fly Killer around the lip of the drain so that the solution will run down the sides of the pipes. If a sink has multiple drains, it is recommended to apply Drain Gel Fly Killer to both. Do not use the sink for the next 8 hours.
- Step 3: After 8 hours passes, rinse the sink and repeat the application for the next 3 to 4 days.
Where to use:
Drain Gel Fly Killer is beneficial to have in residential or commercial kitchens, and can be used in sinks or drains located in restrooms and other areas where drains are present. Drain Gel Fly Killer can also be used as a spray to reach under heavy equipment, access cracks and crevices and other difficult to reach places.
When to use:
Drain Gel Fly Killer can be used at any time to remove waste and sludge from slow drains, cracks, and crevices, and out from under heavy equipment. Apply at night or when you know the sink will not be used for about 8 hours, then rinse away in the morning or once the time has passed.
Safety Information:
Drain Gel Fly Killer is safe to use around children and pets when used according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handeling or applying this product.
Special Considerations:
Drain Gel Fly Killer is not an insecticide, however it removes the organic material that flies are attracted to. If there is a heavy infestation we recommend using a Pyrid insecticide along with Drain Gel.

Q:Is Drain Gel safe to use with kids in the home?10/14/20A:Yes, unless your children are of an age that they routinely stick their fingers into drains and other holes and then stick their fingers in their mouths... So if your child is old enough to understand to NOT try to taste this stuff if there is some on the rim of the drain, it is totally safe. As this gel offers nothing to inhale, one, again, would literally need to consume this product or rub a ton of it into ones skin to be harmed by it.
